I used to sign this guy on FM07 with Man Utd for well under £100k and he always scored heaps of goals and never once got a cap for England, players that were scoring 10-15 a season always got in ahead of him.
Is England still managed by McClaren in your game? I always used his cluelessness as the reason if my decent English youngsters never got called up.

Started wondering who is the best (English) player not to have been capped? Can't think of many at moment due to Sven picking most English males once...Steve Bruce as defender maybe? Midfield and forwards...mmm

I've always wondered why Steve Bruce was never capped. You'd think being captain of the best team in the country would make you a dead cert, even if Pallister and Adams were kicking around the same time. Anyone got any ideas?

joke? If not, you may find he played in quite a well known game or two in 1966 and is still England's leading scorer of all time.
