Rep Power: 0 | The England squad in my game, also from 2014. Steve McClaren is still in charge, I really hope this isn't the case in real life in 2014.
A few more randomers that are currently promising youngsters in real life in mine.

All I can say is it's shocking that the AI England manager is picking a 34 year old Michael Owen over Billy Sharp who is in his prime and scoring goals for fun in your game.
The only other explanation I could offer aside from the 'perceived ability'/judging player ability argument is maybe Curbishley's player loyalty attribute makes him less likely to drop Owen from the squad.
An explanation from someone from SI would be nice but I don't see it happening.

In my second season he won the Golden Boot. Sheff Utd still got relegated. Oh, and no caps yet..

It also made me remember how on previous versions when a player was playing well their used to be a media item saying something like 'an international callup can't be far away'. Is that still in the game?
I haven't had an international job on 08 so can someone who has tell me if there is a Supporter's Spokesperson for national teams. If there is maybe they could implement something in there where, similar to player form confidence screen for club managers, a list of players who fans feel should be considered for the national squad is given.

This is the 2nd time in 2 seasons he has won this award and Curbs has not even included him for the 2014 world cup after he fired us to 7th in the prem and a European place!

It's not that unrealistic..... Ledley King and Mihael Dawson ahead of Jamie Carragher despite that fact he has taken on some of the best attacking players in their prime in the world and came out on top... It happens

| Ledley King, when fit, is the second best English cental defender imo. Perhaps England managers want a defender who's actually comfortable with the ball at his feet. Carragher's good as an old-style defender, who can tackle, head and then lump the ball away. King's so much more.
Dawson, I'll agree with.
