He is??? he really struggles for me...4 season never got more than 6.95 avg rating..tbh rio's also only marginally better but vidic was better in fm07

He has one of the highest defensive stats in the game, it might be that you need to play with a bit more cover in front of him.

Then again, you have enough attacking flair in that man-utd team to cover the defensive ratings.

i do play a defensive midfielder in front of the defense...in 07 i played a float 4-4-2 and never had problems but this year h e makes too many mistakes for me...dunno why

Alan Hutton is vastly under-rated in the game.

mido now i know alot of people dont like him but u cant deny his stats on 08 are a bit poor

Vidic is definitely underrated. Haven't played as Man. United on FM08 yet, but I've noticed that Sir Alex's in-game persona keep picking Silvestre ahead of Vidic. Though, come to think of it, Silvestre is the best defender in the history of football. Scratch that, best player ever. So what am I complaining about?

Playing a new campaign with HSV. Rafael van der Vaart has yet to score and an average of 6.17 after 15 games. I usually play 4-1-2-1-2, as AMC, or as MC with 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 with f-arrow into AMC position, so I don't play him out of position.

He shoots too many times, even with Long Shots set to Rarely, but because I have him play with a Free Role and High Creativity, he's blasting shots wide all the time, which is probably why he's getting 6's most of the time.

I would drop him, but I don't have adequate cover. No club has come knocking yet, but his poor performance means his value has dropped to 11 million euro, so I'm not sure I should sell.

Any ideas?
