I manage A.C. Milan and at the start of the season, Ronaldo was injured. He took ages to recover and immediately complained at a lack of first-team football. He was also listed as having "personal problems", namely homesickness. I gave him a month's leave of absence, only for him to complain at a lack of matches and at my managerial ability (we're clear at the top by miles). He came back to the club, played a couple of matches and developed personal problems yet again. Sending him home doesn't work and he'll probably go on a free at the end of the season. Yet, in reality he doesn't seem to be unhappy. Anybody else have this problem, with either him or other players?
yep mate, i had the exact same problem, dont waste your time giving him a new contract, he wont accept it, and he went back to madrid on mine where he played 5 games in 2 seasons.
If you havent already bought a striker i advise getting somebody like amauri in january as Pato just doesnt cut it for the 1st season!
I gave up on the contract, if he goes on a free so be it... As for Pato, I bought him in FM07 as a youngster (well, 18) and he quickly became the most important player in our team (most goals, most assists, captain). I hope his stats haven't been altered that much for FM08...
