For me, switching the budgets is key. In every other version I usually have a massive wage bill, but tons of transfer money. Often, I'd be able to buy almost anyone I wanted, but was so over the wage bill, that the board wouldn't give me enough funds to sign them to a contract. Facegen is also quite excellent as now it gives a personal touch those regens so that they aren't just faceless stat packs.

changing the pitch dimensions to suit your style of play really makes a difference imo.

teaking the budgets is also great.

Like the OP, I'm still waiting for my Fm08 (should have it sdometime between Wednesday to Friday)...

Can't wait to have a look at the Best XI feature (is anyone kind enough to throw a screenie? :o)

i'm sure best XI was in fm07. it was best XI and second XI, as opposed to best XI senior and youth teams as it is in fm08. unless you're not talking about assistant advice...
