Do you guys buy many regens but dont fit them into your team? i want to see if there is people who buy regens for dirt chea prices e.g. 500k - 2m and sell them off for a huge profit like 20-30m after 2-3 years, i feel. this would be quite profitable like arsene method, can you share what you do that makes it successful? i am eager to get into this ;-) i spotted a regen with pa 199 from orient english league one side!! for 200k loooo
I built my FM06 Derby County team on importing cheap Scandinavian goalkeepers (and outfield players to a lesser extent). No idea what PAs were because I only go off my scout recommendations (which is still too easy in 06 admittedly). About half the goalkeepers currently playing in the Premiership are ones imported by Derby for a pittance and sold on for anything between £5 million and £20 million. I must have sold at least 10 despite keeping two of the best for my own team.
I have to admit I bought some of them knowing full well I would never want them in my team, but most I bought to see how they develop and then decide which ones I can do without.

 My highest valued player is worth £12k so no....I dont buy dirt cheap players for £500k
I tend to try to build a team and not buy players purely for resale value. Only reason I would sell young players is if they didn't devlop enough to make the first team or if the offer is too good to turn down.
IMO buying youngster with the aim of selling them after a few years for huge profit to be a bit of a cheat.
I only buy players that will either improve the first team squad or have potential to be first team players in the future. Admittedly some of these don't make the grade and several have gone for decent money for LLM but only because they aren't good enough or didn't perform as well as they should have done.
I horde the best young talent in the world. Ill end up with a squad of 70-80 players sending the young boys out on loan for 3 years before they get near my team.
Its tough because my Arsenal team that was thread bare when I got the job now has at least 15 world class defenders and now Kompany, Toure, Doujou are getting the unhappy side of thirty im going to sell them, lower the wage bill and finally convert to the new generation back four.
Anyway I have to many good young players and even 20 million pound offers id be reluctant to let them leave. I don't buy players to sell them. Unless they are on high wages and not as good as the next youngster.
Oh but if they suddenly want 30k plus wages after there initial five year contract ill make a decision on them.
excellent, im right on the job scoutin for the dirt cheap regens with PA 170++ ;-)) with english regens since im managing in england i will take more careful note but with other regens i will be looking at pure profit... revamp my reserves ;-0
I picked up a northern irish regen alled Chris Tunilty for 5k, 3 seasons later was sold on for 2.5 million. I was chuffed until he improved further and Liverpool sold him for 7.5 million, if only id waited
