Same happened to me. Everytime I win that's what the assistant suggests I say to the team. When I do say it, most of my players will be angry and they will have a "thinks manager does not give enough credit" in their profile. Utter load of rubbish

Thats exactly the way I do it too. the assistant seems to be able to remember how they performed last match and give them instructions to suit in the pre game TT. but the halftime TT and the full time TT are always far too harsh if the assistant does it. I always take the easy option and very rarely give the team a b*llocking. otherwise moral crashes.
funny i always demand a win unless i am playing someone who is a division above me. cant be arse to try to work out which one will make things worse sometimes
What i HATE about this feature is when i tell my players i don't want their performance to drop, they go ape ****. I just don't understand it.
I honestly thought it would have changed for 08. Seems not.
Oh, and the fact that no one listens when you have something positive to say, but when you say something negative, yeah, they all listen then. And then they dislike you...
Agree- plus I hate it the way you know the oppo manager has got his spot on when they score within seconds of the 2nd half kicking off after being 2-0 down.
If I take action I win 3 or 4-1, if I dont I lose.
It made your team do crap in the 2006 and 2007 versions and seems to be even worse in this version.
Can't be bothered with them any more, I've just got an ass man with man management and motivation of 20 and leave it to him (with a few alterations if I think he's talking utter b*llocks). Seems to do alright.
I don't know how the teamtalk affects to the game but I find it stupid that very rarely the ass man tells it actually did something noticeable and only in a few players. Surely it should have some kind of effect on players, but who needs some assman to tell his discoveries if he doesn't actually discover anything? I'd throw those players out who aren't listening their bosses and caring about what they have to say and about the team.
