I've experienced not much at all,
my team keeps scoring on and on, made solid tactics and bought the right players for it before the first betapatch and its still working, although
I seem to be more succesfull in scoring goals when playing in champions League or EufaCup.

Grr stupid match engine. I've tried defensive mentality, normal mentality, high closing down, hard tackling and still my stupid players refuse to make a tackle or a go for the ball. They just keep letting the opposition come forward and not do anything to stop them and let them score easy goals.

I just had one match where they let the oppositions midfielder dribble right through them without challenging (through about 3 of my guys), let him do a quick flick pass and their striker scored from right in front of the goal.

It makes me laugh everytime i here this. Patches don't "destroy tactics" its much more likely that your tactics had slight problems in the first place and a the new engine has simply exposed them. There was someone complaining about exactly the saem thing the other day and yet when he uploaded his tactics the problems were there for all to see.

That said, i won't be using any of these until the official release

Very dissapointed with latest "beta" update.
I thought they said they had sorted out the closing down problem, because they haven't!

My players stand there looking at him and think WAIT...WAIT....WAIT...WAIT...NOW oh damn he's gone just gone and scored. Very dissapointing

Like i've said before if you see the AI doing it and closing you down...then obviously you should be able to do it.

This new patch has sorted my defensive troubles somewhat, but the AI has become increasingly 1 shot 1 goal whereas my own players are unable to put the ball in the back of the net no matter how many chances they get. Where I would previously win 4-2 I lose 0-1. Bit frustrating all in all.

Could you please updload that previous patch somewhere? I'm experiencing the same with my tactics for Newport County and the closing down issue seems to have found it's way back....

Been away for awhile...

So, I find it a bit hard to draw a conclusion out of all this. In this, and in many other threads, I see people complain about the return of the 'old' closing down bug. Has this been confirmed anywhere? Or is it simply a matter of the match engine being tweaked somewhat (and if so, in what direction)?
