Anyone explain this Phenomenon to me! (if you can)
Im playing Sporting CP, yesterday i save my game and i was in the league 12 games unbeaten, my striker (Liedson) scored 1 \ 2 goals per game and had 8 \ 9 rating almost every game.
Today i went to play a bit more so i make 6 games. From those 6 games i win ONE GAME DRAW TWO GAMES and LOSE 3 GAMES. Opposition goalkeepers have MoM (in 2 out of 5 games) one i lose to penalty another i lose in the 90th minute the otheri get hammered AT HOME by Porto 3-0.
But MoM \ Penalties \ etc etc ASIDE i ask... how can i team that is performing flawlessly in 12 games become sub-par (with 6 rating even 5) just in a snap of a finger???? tell me a real example of a team in a real world?????? i find it very very odd!!!!!!

Well I wouldn't say they've have experienced the same. True, they loose the odd game here and there after a winning streak, but I think the point of the author was that his team suddenly loose an entire streak. Or at least play like crap al of a sudden.
The way he describes it, with having played these matches over two days, makes it sound more to me like he's been re-ranked cause of his good streak, when he saved the game. Thus making the AI play him differently after loading his save game... I know there was issues of this kind in fm07 but not sure whether it's also present in '08...

Re ranking has nothing to do with it as i oesn' effect your team as much as people believe. So I guarantee its not that

Maybe you said the wrong thing to the press or had a bad team talk. The key is identifying what went wrong or caused the down turn in the first place and then never repeating the same mistake.
My last loss was caused by me losing a mind game with the rival manager. Last time I tell him he is not going to get promoted.
Once you start losing it can be difficult to turn it around. Same as if you are riding high, it is difficult to beat you.
Check your team morale and if they are not all happy chaps, then you need to work on raising it step by step.
Use of the player interaction can turn a few key players around as can using the correct team talks and individual player talks before a match.
You will have to judge for your self the team talks and the simple formula for player interaction still works for the press interaction.

You know what i've started doing.. Everytime i load my game, i instantly go into options and reload it - seems to stop these sudden and unexpected twists in form!
