Not heard a lot of talk about these two players so thought I'd give them their own thread!
As a Norwich side promoted to the Premiership, I was given just £6mil to spend on avoiding relegation. This made me look for the cheap and effective.
Abou Trika was already here as part of my Championship season. From central attacking midfield, he scored 15ish (can't remember now, that season was a while ago!) and set up just as many. In my first Premiership season he's continued, an average performance rating of 7.82, 13 goals and 14 assists.
I picked him up for just £1.5mil and he can be found in the Egyptian national team - I'd describe him a bit like a poor man's Van der Vaart.
The second player I want to speak of is Marco Rigters, the Blackburn forward. This lad I picked up for £900k from a relegated Blackburn. He makes a surprisingly good target man (he wins a lot of flick ons and distributes well) can score a good goal (scored 14 for me) and creates too (7 assists).
I put him alongside someone quick and deadly; that seems to work well.
