Van Der Sar,K.Schmeichel,Zieler The latter two are not good enough IMO, goalkeeper is one of the most important positions in FM unless your tactic happens to score 3+ goals each game. I bought Craig Gordon for I think around 13m, I have a great relationship with Keano.
CB:
Ferdinand,Vidic,Felipe,Pique,Evans I'm pretty much the same as you, except I didn't even have to buy anyone, Cathcart becomes amazing even better than Pique. But you must loan him out to a decent club in the 2nd season to further his development, I loaned him to Celtic, he comes back much more matured.
LB:
Miguel Veloso, Evra No problems here, Evra can be great for you until at least 2010. I bought Matias Cahais in 2009 to be his understudy, but Veloso is just fine.
RB:
Daniel Alves, Ryan Taylor, O'Shea I bought Micah Richards but Alves is just fine, the latter two are decent backup, Pique is better than O'Shea though.
DM:
Hargreaves, Ever Banega Decent here, you sold Fletcher? He's a great squad player, never moans and does the job for me, but is better as a central mid rather than pure DM though. No problems here, Pique can do a job at DM as well.
AM:
Anderson, Scholes, Dos Santos Two great youngsters to replace Dos Santos. Rooney can also do a job at AMC in a pinch.
Winger:
Giggs, Ronaldo, Nani, Eagles This is probably your weakest area, Giggsy starts to fade in Season 2, Eagles is never good enough imo (unless in your case he has a higher PA). There are many wing options out there, like Quaresma, Behrami, Robben, Ashley Young, Lennon, etc. You can also try Gio on the left.
ST:
Hunterlaar,Rooney, Tevez, Sergio Aguero. Solid and youthful enough. United's own youth aren't good enough, Brandy might make it as a 5th striker if he's lucky, the rest can be sold off. You're set for at least 5+ years with this crew, so try developing your youths or poach other's.
Oops I meant that Cathcart becomes better than Evans, but the 1 full year of first team football with Celtic probably made the difference. And looking at your squad again I'd say GK is the weakest link rather than your wingers.
Good squad there. However, investing in another GK would be wise. VDS is pretty old now and will need to go soon. The other 2 are not great. Might as well just splash out once and get Akinfeev or Ustari. They are the two best keepers in the game other than the big 3 (Buffon, Cech and Casillas).
Also, your wings can do with some strengthening. Ronaldo and Dos Santos are great on your right. Nani is just fine for the left. You could do with another winger on the left though. Look at Guardado or Angel Di Maria for the left wing. Both are great. Guardado is better than Nani and would probably replace him. Di Maria would be great for rotation. Ofcourse, there are always the big guns like Silva, Joaquin etc. :thup:

Team looks very strong to me. As said, i would go for a new keeper as the most pressing matter.
What do you guys think of my Bayern team??? The three obvious purchases being Aguero, Fernandez and Richards. I haven't really bought anyone else. Considering a clearout in the summer of the bits part players and getting in some comparibles to the first XI. Defense are very conservative and play short passes to Banega who distributes as he see fit. Wingers and attack are very attack minded, seems to be working well, scoring lots and conceeding little. Any suggestions??
Forgot to say that Podolski is now in Klose's place and Klose has taken over from Toni. This season the combination of Klose holding up the ball and passing and Aguero putting through balls, coupled with Podolski's 'hits ball first time' and 'hits with power' mean he is smacking them in left right and centre from just inside the penalty area. Works very well so if you can recomend another player with these preferred moves, would be very useful! cheers
The United team looks good. a good goal keeper is Preston Edwards from Millwall you can get him for £200k at the start of the game with the rifht development he is great i take it you've sold Ben Foster ?? because he is really good to posably a tiny bit better than edwards.
For the wing Giles Barnes from Derby, or Milner but he'll cost !!!!
