if youve downloaded mightyowls file you must take out the [1] for it to work. That could be on reason why it isnt working

I've downloaded and installed the update and think it's great, it works fine if I leave it as it is. However, if I try to edit my team (Ebbsfleet United) none of the changes take effect, either the players are still there that I've listed as free and the new signings aren't in the squad, or the club name stays as Gravesend & Northfleet. Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

Yes i know what you are doing wrong. Some of the players that have been edited in the english league do not appear in the scottish database. When it gets to a code in the changes that has a played in england but not scotland, the changes stop. You will need to make the changes for scotland and then put in all of the major other ones you wish. Hope this is of help to you.
