Toulouse reveal unknown manager

Toulouse FC fans were left wondering why chairman Olivier Sadran made a shock announcement. Their confusion turned to disbelief when unknown English manager CJ Proud was unveiled as their new manager .
He stated to the French press 'It's great to rub shoulders with managers such as Gerard Houllier, but Toulouse have come far. A few years ago, they were struggling to get out of the Second Division. I am here to lead them to glory not relegation.'

Proud reveals new signings

With a small budget of £1.3million, CJ Proud made only two signings. He signed Lyon young starlet Damien Plessis for £875,000 and then signing little-known keeper Helder from Toulouse's new feeder club. He only cost £45,000 from Feirense. Fans were calling for better signings but when you have a small budget like that, no wonder who you can buy. CJ Proud stated 'These players aren't known that well but I can assure you, they will be key players in my team this season'.
