“Mark Hughes has decided to call a quits to his reign as Blackburn Rovers manager”.
I read the headline in disbelief; I couldn’t understand why Mark Hughes would do something like this. Nonetheless it gave me a fantastic opportunity to have my first go at management.
I sent in my CV and I was hired. I believed I was hired on account of my past experience as a football player.
“Blackburn Rovers hires John Smith as their new manager”
I enjoyed reading this headline a lot more.
So as I stepped into my new office I see an e-mail that the chairman has sent me confirms my transfer budget of 5.5 million and a wage budget of 468,000 p/w. It also shows my contract of 19,500 p/w until June 2007. The board expect to achieve a safe mid-table position while the fans want me to acquire a respectable position. I myself believe we could get into to Europe.
I took a look over my squad and decided to terminate the loan contract of Dwight Wille.
I send scouts to look at Gareth Bale, Jefferson Farfan and Steven Pressely.
My first match is a friendly against Inter at home.
My team for match is: Fredal

Final score Blackburn 0 v 1 Inter
Crespo(26)
In the end I think it was Inter's class that beat us although it was a sloid performance from our lads. I'll take a lot of postives from the game and i can see where we will need strengthened.
