As I sat at my computer reading about Football Manager 2008 and nearly drooling I decided that I was going to start a new file. New school year (and Key Stage), new game.

Wondering who to use for this new file didn't take long as I realised the perfect team, Leeds United.

Everybody knows of their real-life struggles and I wanted to try and be the one to resurrect Leeds.

So, here I go trying to bring Leeds back into the big time...

First of all I open up the Editor and add myself to the Leeds United squad. Sad I know but it is a tradition with me after many years of Football Manager and other football games.

With myself added to the game, I save the editor and load up Football Manager 2007.

I have made myself into a player that can be developed for future years

I went straight to the transfer market to get myself some bargains. I also go to the big guns in the Premiership and look for possible loan signings to bolster my squad. I am desperately searching around for a goalkeeper to replace Sullivan who is not Championship standard.
I also look at the friendlies that have been pre-arranged for me and find that it is a good mixture of ability. Also I have been invited to play in the Ajax Cup along with Monaco and Fenerbahçe (and Ajax of course).

Upon further inspection I decide that I should beat Dinamo, Forest, Derry and Huddersfield as well as giving Ajax, Sochaux and Shaktar a good game.
