Spirits were high at Old Spa come mid January, despite Droitwich United's loss to Burton and being knocked out of the FA Trophy. The players felt they had done enough to at least deserve a draw against the conference side, but with a game mid-week at home, they woudl have it all to do.

That last match was at home to Stalybridge Celtic, which we won 2-1 with Staly scoring in the 68th minute then haviong a ma nsent off in the 70th.

The morning after the Lancaster match, the phone rang in the Manager's office. It was the physio. Carnie's cast was now off and he could now train. He would be doubtful to regain fitness for the upcoming match against Moor Green, but a sure for future matches.
