Today I have been introduced to the press as the new manager of Manchester United
I have been in talks for the last 3 Weeks with Mr Gill and am so excited to finnally
put pen to paper on a initial 1 year deal, Which will be extended depending on how
well i do this season, But hey, i am a winner, so ill be here for years to come.
After arriving at old Trafford I am shown around by Malcolm glazer, The club owner
we had a great chat and I even bumped into Peter Schmicheal Who was just visiting
the club, He told me to send a scout out on his son Kasper, saying he is deffinatly
going to be a big hit in the future, And that he would love to see him out in front
of the united faithfull one day, i promised him i would take a look at the young lad.
After my guided tour I go for a spot of lunch with the Glazer family, Sir Bobby Charlton
and mr Gill.. Over lunch i find out my budgets and what is expected of me.
At about 1 Pm i phoned my faverite restrount up, C`est Boufoun and booked it for a
large party tonight, i was taking all my backroom staff out to get to know them and there
familys.
My last action of the day before i went home to change for the meal was to go visit the club
doctor, Dr robert Swires to get a report on the overall fitness of the playing squad.
He let me know that the whole squad lacks match fitness, but this will come over the pre
season games, And that only two injuries are present among the first team.
Gabriel Heinze has strained the ligements in his left knea and will be out for around two
months, While Alan Smith is out for a remaining two month of his horrific injury, The
broken leg which occured in the Liverpool game.
Ok at first glance this looks a decent piece, the layout is fine.
However, you often fail to capitalize the letter 'I' - although in some places you do which is baffling. Also, you don't need a capital letter after a comma, some of your spelling is just incredible.
Not sure if this has the makings of a good story or not yet, I kinda of does but you need to pay a bit more attention - mibbe type in word and run a spell check?
Last night went great, we all got on well, they all have great familys, the occasion
went on untill the early hours, me pulling the back room team to one side to discuss
were this club should be in 5 years time.
I met the playing squad for the first time at breakfast, full compliments to the team
chef wendy, does a crackin fry up.
We talked our way through the morning session then I took the after noon traning,
Darren Fletcher performed very well.
After this I met with the scouts who I had prepared some assignments for.
I sent Martin Ferguson to watch Kasper as I had promised his father, Jeff Watson
went over to Brazil to find any young talent , while Eric Harrison went to Croatia
to have a look at the NK Dinamo first team, as it was said they have a lot of young talent.
Now I am off home to study a few videos of the team from last season.
I awaken early this morning after a bad nights sleep, so i put the kettle on and sat down to watch good morning sports fans on Sky Sports News, the two main stories were that Reading had accepted a Two point Five million pound offer from Fulham for midfield hardman Steven Sidwell, I rate the lad really highly and wouldnt mind him here at Old Trafford with me
. The othe main story was chelsea had bidded Ten and a half million for Argentinian defensive midfielder Esteban Cambiasso.
After Seein this I phone club director Joel Glazer about making a bid for both Steven Sidwell and Esteban, he promises me he will do everything he can to bring the pair to Old Trafford.
I arrive at work at around 9 Am, a fax was waiting for me from West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace wanting permision to speak to my assistant Carlos about the vacent job at the Hawthornes.I call Carlos to my office and said it was entirely upto him, after a think he says he would like to meet and speak with Jeremy.
After training i let the lads off early as we fly to Spain tommorow morning for our pre
season tour where we will play ameteur side Garnika, club Murcia and rayo, i look forword to seeing the lads play.
