Today a new manager was seen at Gray Athletic for the first time since the last manager left on Thursday 6th July 2006. Only 3 days after and they have appointed ex youth coach at Manchester City James Edmonds. He has experience and has some links with some top coaches as he hopes to get early promotion. "This is a new start for Grays" the chairman was quoted saying as the managers transfer budget is 8k but he might be selling and buying some new players in the near future. The squad which finished in the play offs last year but lost dramatically after being the favourites to win the play offs are delighted at the new choice of manager and star striker Jamie Slabber was quoted saying "I have already met James, our new manager and he is like one of us. He will fit in nicely and he will fit in soon" Does this mean that Grays Athletic will finally reach into the English leagues from the Conference or is this a step back from last years. All we know his that the new manager has expectations.
