How was I chosen? I'm an unknown, but the board at Aberdeen didn't seem to mind! I thought it would be a laugh to apply and never thought that I would be chosen. They phoned me and asked me to come in for an interview, I told them my ambition to take Aberdeen back to the top of Scottish football and they said I was perfect.
The Aberdeen fans are upset and they feel betrayed. But I actually don't care. I can prove them wrong, I hope! I've had a look at the squad and believe its going to need some strengthening but with no transfer budget it could be a very hard job to do so.

Alex Ferguson obviously still has a soft spot for his old club after sending Dong out on loan to us. A very strong pre-season I believe, losing no games. Sold a few players after they became unsettled after a lot of speculation.
