Hey guys,

I have a question for you. I currently have FM 07 and I am enjoying it. What I do is, I put the computer on holiday and then stop the game after say 10 to 20 seasons so I am playing with fresh players and you also have different teams who are dominating/promoted etc.

What I want to know is, should I buy FM08? I don’t want it for a data update (as stated I won’t play in the current years anyway) so is FM08 that good that I should scrap my current save game and buy it or am I better sticking with FM07 for now?

They changed the scouting in 08 and I much prefer it. That and the match mechanics are worth the buy.

definitely get fm08. its fm07 with all the gaps filled in (i mean some of the gaps).

FM08 with the full patch is better by miles

Yeah man I was annoyed to lose my fm07 game, but I really like the 08 match engine and the face-gen is cool as well when you get into those future years.

FM07 is the better game IMO.

The extra features are few and far between and the match engine is much worse than in FM07.

Match engine far better in FM07 but FM08 has some "neat" features, depends on what your after really.

FM07 for me.

i'm thinking of starting up a new game on fm07 , i dont like the whole match engine on fm08 seems very strange , if you could combain the match engine of fm07 into 08 then wooohooo
