Hello pple, is it just me or is it due to the patch that i suspect is the problem? Im playing with the same tactics that i brought over FM07, tactics that brought me much success and trophys.Back in FM07 i never had any problems with red cards cause i could fine them 2 weeks wages 4 ne red card offences and most of my squad members would heed the message and avoid being sent off the next time of asking.In fact the average no. of red cards ive ever had despite playing with hard tackling in ne full season is 2. I play in Italy's Serie A with Napoli and i even managed ZERO, i say again ZERO red cards despite playing with hard tackling all season long .But in FM08, after patching the game with the latest patch, red cards r a little too unrealistic. My red card record stands after just 16 league games is 9.And i don have the mood to continue ..... There is a difference between hard tackling and violent tackling dear SI and the worst part is now u cannot fine them 2 weeks wages ne more like in FM07 if it is for dismissal in prior match... How to get the message across to them if u cant hit them where it hurts them the most????? Ne one here would like to comment on this??? Is it just me or is it due to the latest patch???

Yeah, I noticed that too, had 1 red card a season before the patch, never more than 2 red cards for 8 seasons. After the patch I got 7 so far this season.

I am now in Febuary with 8.0.1, started a new game with Huddersfield and I have had a massive 1 red card so far. Maybe its the players or formation you have.

I've played 2 seasons with the patch and I am still getting 4-5 red cards in a season just like the 3 seasons I played before the patch. I never use hard tackling any player with high aggression will get themselves sent off on hard tackling.

You can also fine your players for getting sent off. When the news item comes up saying they were sent off in a match look at the bottom right there is an option to appeal/fine the player. I fine every player who gets sent off even if it upsets the whole team.

i havent seen a red since patching.

I have had 5 red cards and I am in december in my first season :o

Probably due to having players that aren't tyhe best taclers in the world on hard tackling. However some of the refs are *****. I guess it's just a case of keeping your eye on the refs stats nd adjusting your play accordingly....yup, that's what I will do.

Its just you! It would appear that your tactics are the problem try adjusting your team and or player instructions. Since installing the patch I haven't had a single red card.

It does seem a bit mad at times.

On the final day of the Prem in my last game there was a total of 12 sendings off across the final day fixtures!

I can't read that properly, so I'll just ask this:

Are you using Hard Tackling or Tight Marking or both?

the amount of red cards decreased with the new patch but the yellow cards are like crazy, many times more then 11 players see a yellow card in a match, both mine and AI
