Somewhat foolishly, I've edited the new database (the patch, that is), and now need to save said database, but I'm not sure what the exact name of the new database is. My PC isn't up to the task of running the editor and the game, so i can't have a look. If anyone could enlighten me, that would be nice.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but if you have edited the database you will have saved it under a certain name. When you start a new game in FM08, it will prompt you to select the correct database.

I think if you click "save" instead of "save as" then it will give you a list of databases, then u can select the updated database and overwrite it.
