I'am also going back to game beta patched.
The 8.0.1 version has completely lost a key factor for a demanding player : the pathos.
The emotion felt while my striker is one to one versus keeper is no longer here..
It was a vital factor for my fun..

In other words, the match engine has now lost its charm and its soul.
Si please make the difference once again..
Wou will be able to make it?

I have to admit I can actually watch a game now cos I feel its much more realistic in terms of movement and passing than it was on beta/unpatched.

before I was like "no one would make that pass!!!"

still have moments, but on the whole I feel its a lot more fun now. I had my criticisms, but about 12 games in, im having fun again.

honestly, I understand how you feel. But I am struggling to decide whether to go with beta or not (actually I already uninstalled and tried with old beta). That's the worst, instead of just playing (whatever version), Im wasting the time with double thoughts.

I do a response from myself..
Imo, the best thing to do is to going back to first beta patch.
Shot ratio appears correct (10/12) for a single game (not the madness of 25/30 of last patch) and the match engine is stunning.
Another observation is not secondary: the silence of SI (low profile?) about some players reactions is very disappointing..

i'm also starting to believe that beta patch match engine was better, with the 8.0.1 official patch it seems that SI made all players go dumb ecept for the GKs

8.01 seems v. good thus far for me. and i never do beta.

i've scored 36 goals in 16 games so far with chelsea, conceding 13, so i can't complain. sure drogba is a bit overrated, the fact is that quality should net results, and that's how its been so far for me.

You might call me a fanboy, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit with this latest patch. I can't really complain about my conversion rate on shots, since one my strikers has a 7 finishing (18 pace, 17 acc, 16 agi). Plus I'm top of League 2 with 14 matches to go with those MAD HATTERS OF STOCKPORT!!

I have monitored 17 matches (i managed Peterborugh United) with 8.0.1 official patch. Here are some stats:

1)Total Human Shots 304
1)Total AI Shots 170

2)Human Shots for match 17.9
2)AI Shots for match 10.0

3)Total Human Shots on Target 155 (51.0%)
3)Total AI Shots on Target 81 (47.6%)

4)Human Shots On Target for match 9.1
4)AI Shots On Target for match 4.8

5)Human Goals/Shots on Target Ratio 16.1%
5)Ai Goals/Shots on Target Ratio 17.3%

As you can see the stat 5) are very close
Also % Ratio of SOT 3) seems to be ok

The huge gap is in stat 1) 304 shots against 170...(179%)

No doubt this is one of key factors for reality and maybe is a issue which is suitable to be discussed (and addressed ?) by SI.

I am having a lot of fun now with Firts Beta Pacth.
