The min spec for FM08 is 1.2GHz, I suggest improving that.

OK, I've got task manager up and It's stuck 100%. Also, It's not 782MHz It's 1.86 GHz.

Errm, you know the green box in the toolbar at the bottem, thats full. Fm.exe is taking 99 CPU.

Not to sound like I dont believe you but in the list of processes the fm.exe is definitely taking up 99% constantly on its own ?
If thats the case then theres definitely something astray, I assume rebooting your PC makes no difference?

Well, its not exactly firmly on 99 because my internet browser is flickering between 1 and 3, Task Manager 0 and 1, and Fm.exe 97, 98 and 99.
This happens every time I play FM, so I think I dont need to restart my PC, I think.

A couple of people have said that when they run it as a server it can max out at 100%.
Cant really see why it would be running at 100% its not a bug as it would happen to all of us.
Only other thing you can do is to try an uninstall/reinstall to see if that fixes it.
Are you using a standard install rather than using skins or other 3rd party add ons ?

Well there are some add ons - only premiership clubs logos and Man Utd Facepacks, but I imagine that that wouldn't take up SO much CPU/Memory?
