Not Crouch but no shortarse either.

I seem to remember Gianfranco Zola being very good in the air. He was barely 5 feet tall.

| Crouch isnt that great in the air if you count all the free header he managed to miss.....considering he gets most free headers
Jared Borgetti (from Mexico) isnt very tall yet he is lethal in the air

Weird, was about to post something similar, got Barry Bannan on loan and he just out-jumped Davenport twice in the same game with glanced headed goals!!!
Bannan is 5 ft 3 Big Grin
| If the winger whips in a ball that is not not high but just semi-high(not on the ground-cross but somewhere between a high and a ground), then actually shorter people with quicker movement and agility are more likely to win it.
Its just kinda unfamiliar since FM06 and FM07 the tall centrebacks heads everything away

Also dont forget "bravery", its also important and probably more important than jumping, "aggression" may also help

that's the point i was trying to make, i just feel that in fm08 they've got the balance wrong, so that short players beat tall players to far too many balls (as i said above goal kicks are particularly annoying me) looks like another case of a poorly balanced aspect of FM08

Alot of the examples given here are great, except Vidic is tall AND great at headers. You can say Larrson, Ayala, Les Ferdinand beating taller players but the defenders they made looking stupid are average defenders to begin with.
Tevez beating Vidic, it's not that unlikely if it was during open play and a winger whips in a quick or low cross. Tevez has excellent movement and his pace alone could led him to nip in front of Vidic.
However if it was from a setpiece such as a corner or free kick, then it is highly unlikely that Tevez would have any chance IRL scoring on top of Vidic.

| Its true in the game as well, Tevez scores a lot of headers from crosses (especially Giggs's ones) but on corner its Ferdinand or Vidic who generally wins more.
