Hey ya. I'm playing a game in one of Germany's lower leagues and was surprised to be offered so many quality players for loan. A couple of weeks into the season I was able to aquire four absolute quality players (for that league's standards anyway) and for two of those I don't even have to pay the wages!
I sure have a damn decent midfield now though - for (almost) free! I'm assuming that since FM is made by English, for English clubs this is pretty much normal business. Or is it? Doesn't this affect the difficulty level of the game though?

England's transfer markt behavior. Or something. Post #2
I played as a newly promoted bottom league Russian club in fm07 and I had pages of loan offers every week.
It's a symbiotic relationship. You need players on loan because chances are your transfer budget won't allow you to get all the players you need on a permanent basis. And the other team needs you to take them on loan for various reasons (not ready for first team, unhappy at lack of first team action, etc).

It's just a way for the better clubs to get them improving. They aren't good enough for them but are too good for your league, so it's good experience. It happens irl too. Look at Kasper Schiemcal on loan at Cardiff. He was class in the Premiership aswell.

In the past I have tried to get as many players as possible on loan (usually play a League 2 side), but this season I have departed a bit from this strategy as I only have 2 loanees - a DC with pace who has been a consistent performer at the back and a MR who has been a wonderful all-around performer, though I usually have to sub him around 65-70 minutes as he has a low Stamina (6 or 7). My thinking is that when the loanees leave, it's going to cause a drastic ripple throughout my team as I then have to replace all of them (though I usually try and get those same guys back the next season). This can cause me a step back, especially if I gain promotion as I then have to gel a bunch of new players together again, which can be a problem, especially in defense.

What I forget to add is that all of these four immediatedly found their place as starters, they're just that good. At least one of the guys could easily play two leagues higher, and they were just offered to me like that. It's not that I'm complaining, mind you!
