Sounds like a terrible idea to me. It's almost as if the respective FA's of the four nations are resigned to a fate of "not being able to qualify for a major championship" so they will settle for 3 guaranteed summer matches instead.
From what I gather, it's not as if each tournament will be fair either, seeing as 2 of the nations will get an unfair home advantage, being that they will play at home twice.
The tournament does make sense to me though, as it will be a nice little money spinner for the FA's, albeit the games will be fairly pointless, I can't see too many fans being that excited by it either.
I know it will give a run out to some less experienced players, but I think the format is terrible, and ruins what could have been a good summer event.
But as an England fan, I'm quite glad we aren't participating.

Just a shame that England didn't sugn up once it became apparrant that they would have space available.
Is it really a shame that the FA has made a good decision for once and spared us the embarrassment of being beaten by Scotland?
I think it's far better that they are going to fill these international slots with friendlies against poorer nations that we might be able to beat. </BLOCKQUOTE>
