why not just play into the second season of the game and enter leeds reserves into the league then???? rather than just stop playing altogether
It doesn't give you the option to enter

Apply the patch after starting the the game with leeds ?

I started on the original patch and my reserves are fine.

(this is not a rant)

I can't forgive SI for not giving Leeds Utd's reserve team fixtures as I can't develop youngsters or get players match fit (unless I start then in 1st team) - but, mistakes happen.

For this reason, I am not playing FM. I'm not moaning or ranting, just stating my reasons.

After many years of playing FM, I think the time has come to call it a day. I'm 30 next year and have a g/f and a 15month old kid. No longer are my weekends going to be spent trying to create tactics and searching for players. Now I will be able to concentrate on finishing the jobs around the house and spending more time with the family as I think I was a bit too addicted to FM.

Anyone else feel they spend too much of their time playing FM?
I've got a game with Leeds and have reserve fixtures.

I don't really follow the Championship, but I believe that all teams outside of the Premiership do not have reserve team fixtures. It's only Premier clubs that are involved in these now. I could be wrong as I haven't looked into this and I got this info from a conversation I had with an Ipswich fan. I believe it's down to the FA not putting the funding into it.

Maybe!?

It's not that hard. My daughter is 20 months now. She goes to bed around 7-8 in the evening. Usually after that I play some games. Sometimes half an hour, sometimes 2 hours. It depends, what is on the telly, what are my mates doing, what does the missus want ( ).

In the weekend I always play a couple of hours. Sunday is my free day. I want that day for myself, so usually I play some games.

It depends on the game, but sometimes the kid joins me. She stands, or sits, next to me and just points and yaps a bit.
Last weekend I played Europa Universalis 3 and she kept on pointing on the country next to mine. So I saved the game and attacked them, as she pointed to it. Made her laugh, she likes it when the armies move.

Kind of the same here. Gaming de-stresses me aswell. When I had a really bad day, I usually play an aggressive game, at the most for an hour. Always feel much better afterwards.
But the wife doesn't hate it. She does game pretty much on her Nintendo DS aswell. She wasn't a gamer when we got together though. She saw what effect gaming had on me, as it does improve my mood and gives enjoyment. So she tried it herself when we bought The Sims 2. She liked it and said she likes Mario-kind games and "detective" games. So now she has a DS and is completely absorbed in Phoenix Wright.

You're wrong. As a Sheffield Wednesday fan, I know that we have reserve fixtures as I like to keep up with some of the players coming backf rom fitness etc

I can see both points of view here. Sometimes I feel guilty about the amount of time I play FM and surely there are better things I could be doing with my time (spending time with the missus, going to the gym, etc) and then Coronation Street/Eastenders/Strictly Come Dancing comes on and FM seems like the only salvation!!

Like others have said it genuinely de-stresses me after a hard day.
