i just took over at sampdoria and need to know what team instructions could possibly work with their standard tactics
ok, the problem here is that it's april the 1st and sampdoria, my new club, are in a bit of a relegation battle. the formation they play is one that i've never even considered before and i don't really understand how it might work but they have a relatively good record using it considering the strength of their squad.
the formation they play is a 3-4-2-1 where the four are all the proper midfield position and they have two central attacking midfielders.
the formation in itself makes a lot of sense to me based on the strength of the squad. obviously the previous manager has bought players to suit this formation but i don't know what to do in my team instructions at all.
any tips?

note: it's clearly a defensive formation as indicated by their results this season and the fact that the formation is listed in the standard tactics list as 3-4-2-1 defensive.
