Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default tutoring (3 options)

I have some questions about tutoring. You can choose between 3 options. I always pick the 3rd option, what you guys think is the best option to choose and what does this depend on?

Also, is it important that the tutor and tutored player talk the same language?

And how long does tutoring usually take?

I'm at work, so I don't have the options in front of me, but the tutoring options depend on the tutor.

If your tutor is a model professional, have the youngster adopt every aspect of the game ("ideal role model", i think).

If the tutor is less professional, choose the less comprehensive option.

oh, question 2: I don't know. I would think if one player did not speak the language, it would not be as effective.

Q3: the relationship can be in place for months.

oh ok thanks for your responds

and i have another question about tutoring. is it possible to tutor one player more than once? So a youngster first gets touted by player1 and if that is finished ill let player2 tutor him etc?

i just signed a youth player who said he was looking forward to learning from "his idol" Sergio Ramos. I promptly had him tutor him only for the youth player to state that he could see no benefit in being tutored by him.

They were both spanish so i doesn't make sense

There just are some young players who refuse to be tutored and they prefer develop on their own. Also , as the news item will say, if there is too big personality difference between players they are unlikely to benefit from it if they accept being tutored. Also it seems it's always the player being tutored refusing; I have never seen the 'mentor' refusing to tutor anyone.

And yes it is possible to tutor one player more than once. I've had some players tutored few times now. I even had one player tutored twice by the same player.

Probably not the wisest move to make Anelka a mentor!
