I'm Real Madrid and I've just lost Marcelo in my 1st season to a stupid release clause of 10.25 million USD. Didn't have enough time to actually see how good he was plus he is still very young.

How good does he become? How much did I actually lose?

Any left backs you can recommend pls to replace him? Cos now I only have Heinze as a LB in my squad. He's a good player but obviously I need back up. Preferably a good young player, so that he can take over from Heinze later on.

Drenthe? But no high potential, and you have got Torres, at most get someone like Sakho for a long term investment

Ye I forgot Drenthe can play there too. Cos I usually use him as a back up left winger. But he's not too impressive so far. Will ptobably look to offload him soon.

I brought Marcelo for Chelsea in first season for £5.5m buyout clause. He's now worth about £17m (3rd season) and Barcelona want him, he ain't going anywhere though, he is one of my best players!

You should have offered him a new contract. He's quite good on the wing but not a defender by any stretch of imagination. If you want a left back I'd go for Chiellini. For a left winger I'd say Guardado would be a good bet. Silva too.
