Star Player - Robbie Savage

Defence is the weakest with a strong midfield and an attacking line-up capable of getting the goals. Lack of money is a big problem so hustling is nessecary. The supporters dont tend to come in their droves either. A super keeper though.

Confidence

Long Term - Establish itself in the Premier Division by the end of the two year plan
FA CUP - 5th Round
EURO VASE - qualify for the euro cup
League Cup - 4th round.

Conclusion - you really need to spend the money wisely and in the right areas. the midfield can be dominant but you have to watch the back line.

i've yet to be my supported team, i love them, i would suggest someone like Arouca, a MC who's an allrounder

i also don't believe it would be wrong to slightly update RSC stats in the editor

rubbish, McCarthy is star player, though he deserves better composure IMO

and defense is strong in this version, Samba in particular is very strong

I agree on McCarthy and composure. On the demo he would keep breaking free of the defence and then blast the ball over the bar. It's infuriating.

I'm just about to start the 3rd season after playing as Rovers.

Just a couple of points:

You need to set preseason schedules (in addition to Euro Vase games)
Samba is probably slightly better than Nelsen.
Need to find a left and right back as backup or better than Emerton/Warnock
Bentley/Pedersen/Reid are all very good
Santa Cruz, while his stats don't reflect that he's actually awesome in the air in real life is still a goal machine
Benni is great too and can do a job for a season or two.

I sold Savage mainly because he's old and his wages are mega (£48,000!), got an easy £2m for him.

No one ever wants Jas 'the Ace' Roberts!
Sergio Peter is probably a star - I've got big clubs after him.
Derbyshire isn't bad, but not great.

I've managed to finish in 6th (just 3 points short of 3rd!) (won UEFA cup) and 4th positions so far.

It really pays to get some decent scouts in to find good players - especially useful when they give you a target price too. Everyone seems to want ridiculous sums for players and so you'd do well to invest in youth.

As always, Rovers are very unfashionable and so no one ever wants to join you!

Good luck!

McCarthy and specially Cruz have such a lack of composure! They miss many easy goals.

And what's the problem with Dunn? He never recovers enough for the next game. His condition is rarely above 88%. I've tried to fit him in a fitness training program, no visible results, so far.
