Default Feeder Clubs

I am Cardiff in the 2nd season or original patch and I have just asked for a feeder club and have chosen to affiliate myself with Calais, as they were the highest calibre club out of the 4 for selection.

I thought this would have solved the work permit issue, I thought any players I now signed that were unable to get a permit would be allowed to be sent to Calais so a permit would eventually be given, but I find I still have to apply for work permits for players and I won't understand why?

You will still have to apply for the work permit as usual, but if and when it fails, you will still be able to sign the player then send him out on loan.

Well a transfer just got cancelled because a work permit wasn't agreed? I thought you could send players out to french clubs to get work permits? Not because Calais are only semi-professional is it?

this is normally a hot topic, so let me clarify. if it is coming to the end of the transfer window, e.g 30th august, then you will be able to sign the player after him having failed the permit app. When you get him, he will be unplayable, and this is where your feeder comes in. if you have a belgian or polish feeder, you send them there for 3 years to get a national work permit for those countries, making him an official citizen of europe and therefore able to play in europe. French clubs are 4 years, which is why they are less favourable and english clubs is 5 years which is why we seek feeders.

Awesome post Mista T, I was wondering what to do with 2 players i needed permits for!

And my plymouth board have decided I've been at the club long enough to decide what type of feeder club i want, and work permit is an option! Cheers dude.
