"Say Cheese"
There I stand, in the middle of my class, just graduated from Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan in Stockholm, Sweden. My mum cried, my dad tried to hide it. That so typical for my dad, never wants to show emotions. I walked down the podium and after only a few steps my sister where there to hug me. She was 2 years older than me, but hadn't graduated yet, as she just managed to beat anorexia.
She was thin, but I never been so scared as the week before she decided to fight it, when she weighed 30kg and was 170cm tall. I still have nightmares about it.
After a trip through the city on the truckroof and a marvellous lunch made by my mum, I could finally threw myself in the armchair and breath. Or so I thought, but it turned out my dad had the same thought so I had to do good with the sofa. "So what are you gonna do now when you finally got of school son?" he asked with a hopeful tone in his voice. I already knew my answer and I hoped he would like it as much as I did. I was unsure about how he would take it, but still I heard myself say: "I'm going to become a manager"
My dad had taken it better than I thought, after all he was the biggest football geek in the modern era. I don' know anyone else who know all the goal-scorers of the World Cups (that's actually true) but he still was a bit sceptic. "Why son, I could give you a well-payed job at Ericsson, the manager business is very riskful and it's not sure you'll make any money on it" he said and tried to sound like an old wise man, he did it quite well. "Yeah I know, but it has been my dream since my first manager game. But the only way is to be a ex football player or that you start very early with a small club, and as I'm 22 I think that I have to start immediatly" I answered
After about an hour of argumenting my dad finally agreed with me, and said he would help me find a club that would like my services. That was the only problem left now, I needed a club.
To my dissapointment there was not a single club in Stockholm that needed a manager, so I had to extend my search to the whole Sweden. Only Division 2 (4th division) clubs had jobs ready. Many clubs I didn't find interesting at all, but my eyes got stuck to one club, Asmundstorps IF. The club my uncle played for when he was active, now he's 53 but still has some friends in the club. I decided to go for it and called my uncle and asked if he could say some good words about me. He answered that he would if I knew I wouldn't make a fool out of myself in the club. Of course I promised I wouldn't but I wasn't that sure. Was I really ready to take over a club?
I wrote my CV as good as I good, I worked on it for 10 straight hours, I didn't want my dream to end because of a badly written CV. When I finally was pleased with it I sent it in to the owner of the club, Leif Ohlsson. After that I just walked around the house waiting for an e-mail to pop up on my computer screen. At first I was sure I would get the job but after 3 days without answering I stareted to wonder if I'd ever get a chance to prove myself as a manager.
I was on the edge of giving up when I suddenly heard the familiar sound that meant I had a new e-mail. I ran to the computer and looked in the inbox.

Subject: Job offer
Dear Mr.Nyberg
We have recieved your CV and we are very interested in your services. We are happy to invite you to a job interview on Friday next week at 14.30.
Your Sincerely Leif Ohlsson
-----------------------------------------------
I couldn't believe it, I would have my first job interview in only 8 days. I immediatly ran down to my dad and told him, he seemed fairly pleased but still congratulated me. My mum started to cry, as always.
I didn't sleep at all that night, I was to excited to be tired. Instead I had my laptop in my knee and tried to find as much info as I could about Asmundstorp. I found out that they were a very young team, average age 20, and the media thought they would be relegated this year. "I will stop that" I thought. After a whole night of research I felt I knew the team a little, and would be ready to take over, if they wanted me too.
“Dad I got the job!” I yelled in the phone as soon as I heard my dad pick up.
“You what?! That was a very short interview”
“It wasn’t much of an interview, I was the only one applying so I got the job, just like that”
“I’m proud of you son, but where will you stay?”
“The club will pay an apartment for me until I make some money so I can pay it myself”
“That sounds great Simon. So you’ll move down to Skåne now?”
“Yeah, I know it came quickly, but I think this is my chance.”
“If you think so, then I’ll support you to a 100%”
“Thanks dad, but I got to go now”
The Squad
GOALKEEPERS: Peter Rikardsson, 16 years old, 192cm
My number one goalkeeper. He’s very young but has enormous talent and I think he will turn into a decent Allsvenskan goalkeeper in some years. Very good in the air.
Erik Stenström. 16 years old, 178cm
A talented keeper that will work as reserve this year. He’s good enough for this league but his length make him quite a safety risk on corners.
DEFENDERS: Andreas Elfving, 31 years old, 177cm
2nd oldest in the team and the absolute first choice for the captain’s role. A very speedy Right back with high pace and good passing.
Roger Nielsen, 21 years old, 191cm
A good CD who will be a regular first team if everything turns out as I think. He is a good header and quite peaceful despite his length.
Jimmy Persson, 15 years old, 173cm
The youngest team member, but still on the edge of get a first team spot instead of Nielsen. They will compete for that spot. Will be important in a few years.
Urban Stoltz, 40 years old, 176cm
The oldest member on the team and will be the first choice in the central defensive line. Good passing and surprisingly good headers.
Henrik Strandell, 16 years old,190cm
4th choice for CD. He will not play games this season if he’s not doing extremely good in training or that 2 CD’s get injured.
Jonas Sundqvist, 15 years old,182cm
Back-up for Elfving. Will not play so much this season but my thought is that Elfving will mentor him so he get more experience.
Michael Ucar,15 years old,175cm
Only one in the whole team who knows how to play D L, he will be a first team regular if I don’t buy a replacement for him.
MIDFIELDERS: Adam Bertilsson, 16 years old, 174cm
A good central midfielder who will fill the starting eleven quite often. His passing and creativity will make him a good playmaker in a few years.
Benny Dahlin, 16 years old, 184cm
The only right midfielder in the squad, and he’s a quite good one too. But I will probably buy another one who will replace him in first team.
Fredrik Hansson, 22 years old, 178cm
His position is Defensive Midfielder but he can player Centre-back too. My first choice in the midfield this year.
Peter Westerberg, 16 years old, 170cm
He plays left midfielder, but he’s not good enough for this division. I will try to loan him out to a worse team.
Patrik Zettergren, 15 years old, 184cm
The youngest midfielder in the squad. Don’t know if he’s talented yet but I hope he will take a first team place soon.
STRIKERS: Robert Drwiega, 22 years old, 180cm
The best striker in the squad, but I will see the first games if I need a better goal-scorer.
Johan Krekola, 23 years old, 174cm
Will play with Drwiega. A short but strong striker that wont stop until someone breaks his leg.
Johan Lindgren, 16 years old, 178cm
3rd choice striker. He’s a Swedish version of Miroslav Klose, and very good on the head.
Stefan Skotte, 16 years old, 173cm
The last striker who wont play much this season.
After evaluating the squad I see that I need the following:
1 Right midfielder
2 Left Midfielders
1 Left Defender
1 Central midfielder
I have 7000 euros to spend as I want.
After a long time of seeking and being rejected by players I finally found some players that would find it fun to play for a low league team.
Jonas Blowqvist, 20 years old, 179cm, D/WB L
He’s a good full back that is twice the potential of Ucar. With that statement from my scout I had no doubt in buying him. He plays for Öster in Allsvenskan and I offered the club 1000 euros.
Armand Gegaj, 19 years old, 172cm, M R
He’s much better than Dahlin. He’s transfer listed and plays in Kalmar in Allsvenskan. I offered the, a 1000 euros as well.
I also managed to get these players on 3 week trials
Lucas Egenwall, 23 years old, 183cm, M L No contract
He’s a Swedish speedy Gonzalez. He was a key player in Falkenberg season 2002 but when they got promoted to Superettan he lsot his spot.
Christian Tanche, 20 years old, 183cm, M LC No contract
The central midfielder I’ve been looking for. Will be interesting to see how he plays in the friendlies.
Zaman Safari, 26 years old, 170cm, AM L No contract
He has a very good technique and could give my team the breakthroughs on the wing that I need so much.
I also set up a fixture for the pre-season: 5/3 H Sandåkern
8/3 H Sleipner
11/3 A Finlandia
16/3 H Piteå
20/3 H Järbo
25/3 A Arameiska-Syrianska
The league starts 20/4 so I will probably put in some more games.
PRE-SEASON RESULTS
H Sandåkern 3-3 (Krekola,Drwiega 2,Gegaj S/O)
H Sleipner 1-0 (Drwiega)
A FInlandia 2-3 (Krekola 2)
H Piteå 0-4 (RESERVES)
H Järbo 4-1 (Krekola 4)
A Arameiska-Syrianska 1-1 (Egenwall,Blomqvist S/O)
A Bele 0-3 (RESERVES)
A Väsby United 1-1 (Krekola)

So what do you think so far? The match reports will of course be much more detailed than the one on the pre-season
It think that if you're going to post a comment like this:

it would be wise to make sure the sentence is written properly. Nothing could have been more ironic that what you wrote there!
Other than that, it looks promising. Try to stay away from lists! </BLOCKQUOTE>
Sorry about that I'm Swedish as you might understand from the title
