As I walked into Ashton Gate I made a silent Promise to myself to get Bristol Citys deserved Glory

As I went into the board room to sign my dream contract with my beloved club i'd supported for years, there stood Steve Lansdown with my contract.

"Well George are you ready for your career into management to start?"

"Yes I Am Steve"

I signed the contract with a big smile on my face.

As I already knew all the faces in the club i decided to keep the same squad until I think we needed additions.

Bristol City was a very healthy club with good finances a generous board and very good fan support,up with the best in the divison. Steve told me earlier we were lookin to get out of the divison as quickly as possible.

I quickly got to work

Bristol City have confirmed the suprise appointment of Unproven Manager George Burgess. Steve Lansdown mentioned he had total confidence in George's ability to cope with the job. George has made no signings or sackings of staff. Critics say that George doesn't have the expierience to cope George just said that he will try his best after all thats all you can give!
