December

Just as I started to get ready for the upcoming press conference on Thursday I got a call from Arsenal, telling me that Benfica have made a bid of £1,900,000 for Anthony Stokes. I told them to accept the offer. It was quite incredible, in my eyes, that they didn’t just wait until the summer to get him on a free, and also that they were willing to spend so much on him. Perhaps they decided to move now to avoid extra competition, I thought. But two extra million is a bit much to spend just to make sure you get someone. It didn’t really matter to me anyway, I hope he does well wherever he goes but the more money the better, as I don’t see a future for him at the club.

This is not as good and hasn’t really got any personal side stories, it is completely on football but I hope you enjoy anyway, even if you don‘t I really enjoyed writing it so I don‘t mind.
