Despite dominating match and having possession in their own feet, Crvena Zvezda failed to win against Metalac Gornji Milanovac. Zuckovic scored late equalizer and Metalac still has chance to stay in Meridian SuperLiga.

Bayern Munchen is looking for new manager
It is very unlikely that Ottmar Hitzfeld will get new contract on end of the season, and Franc Beckenbauer is looking for possibilities, who could be new Bayern’s manager. Candidates are Von Heesen, Brehme and Buchwald, who are without job at the moment, while Beckenbauer said he would like to see Vedran Djukaric, current Red Star manager on Allianz Arena next season.

FSS – April, 28th
Borislav Cvetkovic takes over Mladost Lucani
Former Zvezda’s assistant manager, decided to leave Marakana after five years and become manager of Mladost Lucani, 6th placed team in Prva Liga Srbije, and will do his best to lead Mladost towards Meridian SuperLiga. Crvena Zvezda earned 120k€ from his department and is looking for new assistant manager.

Live match coverage (Serbian NIS Cup Final): Partizan-Vojvodina
In even match on Marakana today, Damir Kahriman saved all shots he faced, and with Slaven Stjepanovic scoring in last 15 minutes, Partizan luckily brought home a trophy. This is Djukic’s first trophy as Partizan’s manager and will give his players lot of confidence.

Live UEFA Cup Final coverage: Lazio-Fiorentina
In fifth Italian UEFA Cup Final, Lazio won their first trophy because of in-form Obafemi Martins’ hattrick. Fiorentina equalized on two occasions, and Crespo failed to get game into overtime when he missed penalty shot in 2nd minute of injury time.

Third straight away win for champions
Borac didn’t give any resistance to champions, as Zvezda walked through Gradski stadion and is heading back to Serbian capitol city with three new points. Already relegated team from Cacak scored one, with perfectly taken free kick by Josipovic in 44th minute. Franklin Salas is trying to get back into team and scored two in 65 minutes he played, with captain Goran Drulic adding another.

Real Madrid grabs 10th Champions League trophy
Los galacticos won 3-1 in final match against Inter to claim their 10th CL title. Despite losing at half time, Real Madrid managed to score three goals and win. Iker Casillas was brilliant today, saving shots and penalty, and only Ibrahimovic could get one in his net. Congratulations to both team for great entertaining match.

Boring one-sided game without goals on Marakana yesterday
Crvena Zvezda dominated game against Vozdovac, but failed to score as Milos Djurdjevic was absolutely fantastic on Vozdovac’s goal today, stopping all shots and claiming man of match award. Metalac is now relegated after losing home match to Napredak Krusevac, while Banat, Hajduk MB, Vozdovac and Vojvodina will battle for two remaining UEFA Cup places and one Intertotto Cup place next season.

Vedran Djukaric was very happy on press conference today when he unveiled Stevan Mojsilovic, 42-years old from Montenegro, as new assistant manager in Crvena Zvezda. He was assistant manager in Serbian White Eagles in Canada and is very experienced. Mojsilovic and Zvezda signed 3-year contract.

Today matches completed this years fixtures in Meridian SuperLiga. In Krusevac, Napredak and Crvena Zvezda played 1-1, and champions can be unhappy as they were better team. Second-placed Partizan won against Banat 3-0, while Vojvodina managed to get 4th place winning against Hajduk Rodic MB 1-0 with man down for 55 minutes. Smederevo will play in playout match after drawing at home field against OFK Beograd, and they failed to win despite early OFK’s sent off. Table after 33 rounds:

Crvena Zvezda completed free transfer of 19-years old Turkish attacking midfielder from Galatasaray yesterday. Basaran Irfan is already in Turkish U-21 setup and will probably go on loan next season.

Miroslav Lecic leaves Marakana
Swiss Grasshoppers bought Serbian 24-years old forward, Miroslav Lecic, from Crvena Zvezda. Serbian champions will receive 750k€ and 40% of his next sale, while Lecic signed 4-year contract worth over 1m€.

FSS – June, 17th
Smederevo and Radnicki Nis swap places
In playoff match for 16th place in Serbian Meridian SuperLiga, Radnicki Nis won against Smederevo with 3-1 aggregate score. Six teams that got automatic promotion to new and extended SuperLiga system are Jagodina, Habitpharm Javor, Mladenovac, Rad, Novi Sad and Zemun. Four more teams and three rounds less will be next season system with home-away matches for all teams instead of current 3 matches.

UEFA Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round Draw
Serbian champions will play against Honved Budapest or Luxemburgian Racing Union in 2nd Qualifying Round of Uefa Champions League. First leg is scheduled for July, 29th on Marakana, while rematch will be played on August, 5th. Red Star will also be seeded in 3rd qualifying round draw on July, 31st.

Three new players represented on Marakana
Vedran Djukaric decided to spent 8.5m€ just 12 hours after transfer market opened. New players are Milic, Abel and Marveaux. Spanish central defender Abel has 27 years and came from Salamanca for just 75k€. OFK Beograd’s striker Nemanja Milic decided to sign for Zvezda in 200k€ deal. 19-years old striker will have to work a lot to get his place in first Zvezda’s team. However, signing of day is Sylvain Marveaux, 23-years old French AM LC, who signed from Rennes. Crvena Zvezda paid him 8.23m€, and Marveaux will become one of top earners on Marakana.

Latest transfers
New changes on Marakana today. Vedran Djukaric brought two young players on bosman ruling. Dannish 19-years old left winger, Morten Nielsen came from Chelsea, while year older striker Rudy Gestede, came from Metz. Also, five players left Crvena Zvezda this morning. Record breaking transfer was Gabriel Torje’s movement to Isle, as he became new Blackburn member in 20m€ deal. Another important first team player went to England, as Martin Fenin signed for Southampton for about 7m€. Striker Slavko Perovic is new Lens’ player as French team payed for him 2.5m€. Turkish striker Tevfik Kose spent only 6 months on Marakana, as he arrived from Ankaraspor in 2.6m€ deal. Now, he is Rennes’ player as Dragan Stojkovic accepted offer of 10m€. Also, Crvena Zvezda earned more than 3m€ from Dor Malul’s transfer to Nurnberg. Versatile young Israelian was citizen of Beograd just 311 day, but made very strong friendship with manager Vedran Djukaric. Total Zvezda’s transfer income today was over 42m€.

Unhappy Nikola Ignjatijevic moved club yesterday. He signed 4-year contract with Rennes, as Djukaric accepted their 1.5m€ offer for this wingback. Earlier this month, Tevfik Kose, Ignjatijevic’s roommate joined Rennes in 10m€ deal.

Djukaric adds another winger to team
Recreativo accepted offer worth 3,7m€ and 20-years old AM RLC, Joaquin Calderon signed for Serbian champions. Spanish player is best as right winger, and he plays in that position in Spain U20 squad during U20 World Cup which made through to quarter-finals where they will play against host country, Egypt.

Defensive and attacking midfielders strengthens Crvena Zvezda
Vedran Djukaric signed two 21-years old midfielders yesterday. AZ’s Ruud Vormer, 21-years old defensive midfielder is new Zvezda’s member after 1.5m€ transfer, while attacking midfielder, Belgian Franck Moussa, who started his career in Stockport came from Liverpool in 4m€ deal. It seems like Djukaric is creating skillfull and young team. However, Djukaric sold Franklin Salas, 27-years old Ecuador international striker to Standard for 5.25m€.

Title odds for Meridian SuperLiga
Crvena Zvezda is once again top favourite to win Meridian SuperLiga, with 2.50 odds, and they are followed by city rivals Partizan (3.00). Betshops don’t give much chance to any other team, with teams on 3rd and 4th position, Vozdovac and Vojvodina have odds of 17.00.

Lav Super Cup match today
Two best Serbian clubs and eternal rivals Crvena Zvezda and Partizan will meet today on Gradski Stadion Cuprija in second SuperCup match. First was won last year by Zvezda when they won against Partizan 3-2. Partizan managed to get one trophy, NIS Cup last year, but changed managers this summer. Instead of Miroslav Djukic, Ljubisa Tumbakovic will lead Partizan in future. Tumbakovic was already Partizan’s manager, from 1992 until 2002, with break during season 1999/2000. He managed to win four titles and two cups with his favourite club and will do his best to add another title today in his first match against Vedran Djukaric. Possible starting elevens:

Congratulations to Zvezda for their second consecutive SuperCup and ninth unbeaten match against Partizan in row. Champions were better team through the match, and only man of match Damir Kahriman stopped them scoring more. Mistake from Partizan’s defender Ilic gave Zvezda opener in 6th minute. Okoduwa added another in 53rd, and Makiese failed to score another from two good opportunities. Late in game Despotovic reduced red-and-white team’s lead, but that is all Partizan could do. Delije were celebrating another win, while Tumbakovic had bad first game after return to cup holders.

Crvena Zvezda will meet Honved in 2nd Qualification Round
After 1-0 home win, Hungarian champions went to Luxemburg for away leg. It was even game, but late goal from Racing Union extended match to extra time and penalties where Honved eventually won. First lef of 2nd Qualification Round of UEFA Champions League is scheduled for July, 29th, while re-match in Hungary will be played on August, 5th.

With Djordjevic on leave, Kevin Mirallas signed for Crvena Zvezda
Toulouse decided to sell Belgian 21-years old striker after Zvezda sent 11m€ offer. Kevin Mirallas spent just one season in Toulouse after transfer from Lille. He said that he is very glad to be in Belgrade and play for Zvezda in Champions League. Mirallas is replacement for Filip Djordjevic who is expected to leave Marakana in next few days.

Final qualification draw of UEFA Champions League
Dynamo Kiev will meet Benfica in final round of qualifications for UCL. Despite being champions of Ukraine, Dynamo was not seeded club this season and will have to produce two great performances to get past Portuguese side. Elsewhere in draw, Serbian champions will play against better from Levadia-Zilina match if they manage to get through hard match in Budapest against home team, while Zaragoza will be host in first leg to Turkish vice-champions Galatasaray, and AC Milan will travel to Moscow to meet Lokomotiv.

Eleventh player that left Crvena Zvezda is Filip Djordjevic. 21-years old striker signed 4 year contract with French side Toulouse, after two teams agreed on 7.5m€ fee plus 50% of Djordjevic’s next transfer. This brings total transfer income on Marakana at 66m€ just in 6 weeks.

Zvezda brings experienced striker
Wolfsburg decided not to extend contract with 33-years old Dutch striker Rick Hoogendorp, and player accepted 1-year contract with Crvena Zvezda. Player that spent most of his career in RKC Waalwijk will bring experience to Djukaric’s young team.

Crvena Zvezda opens new season with away win
After 30 minutes, it was all clear in Kula where champions were leading 3-0 with goals coming from Okoduwa, Molina and Hoogendorp in his debut. Vujaklija managed to get one back for home team, but that’s all they shown in this match. Substitute striker, Bosnian-born, Haris Handzic added another in second half, while Mauricio Molina had final touch with goal for 5-1. Good start of season for Crvena Zvezda.

Sport Show: Transfers
Miralem Pjanic, 19-years old Bosnian attacking midfielder is new Zvezda’s acquisition. Former Metz player isn’t expecting flying start in first eleven, but will do his best to impress new manager. Financial terms of this deal are not public, but transfer experts from France are saying that Metz earned around 5m€ from selling of this prospect. Young left winger, Sreckovic, is expected to sign for Norwegian Rosenborg in 5m€ deal, after Zvezda accepted offer. Crvena Zvezda’s fierce rivals, Partizan, sold best central midfielder, Milos Bosancic. Bosancic is new Brondby’s player, and Partizan earned 6m€.

Disappointing performance from Zvezda’s players. Noone expected Levadia’s win, but they delievered it to home fans, and now Crvena Zvezda needs two goal margin win in Belgrade to get into group stage of UCL. Levadia’s keeper, Kotenko, was brilliant on goal and is now transfer targeted by Serbian champions. Only goal was seen in 2nd minute of injury time, when Leontovits converted away-team’s mistake into a goal. Can Levadia produce a miracle on Marakana?[i]

SportKlub – August, 16th
Live match coverage: Crvena Zvezda-Napredak
Another dominating match for Zvezda, and easy win against Napredak Krusevac. Castillo gave Serbian champions the lead after Molina’s nice cross in 19th minute. Ten minutes later, solo movement by Makiese for 2-0. Mauricio Molina recently signed new contract with Zvezda and celebrated it with two goals in second half. Great game for Zvezda to keep 1st place after two rounds of Meridian SuperLiga.

Sportski Zurnal – August, 20th
Ibrahima Kargbo signs for Serbian champions
Willem II decided to cash-in versatile defensive player from Sierra Leone. 4m€ offer from Zvezda was just enough for Willem II’s president to accept, and Ibrahima Kargbo signed 4-year contract with new club. He will be very important asset of Djukaric’s team as he can play in all defensive positions.

Novi Sad produced good performance
Everyone expected easy Zvezda’s win, but Novi Sad kept a point on Detelinara. Molina’s early goal gave champions the lead, but they failed to score more despite good chances. Randjelovic equalized in 69th, and could score another in last minute of the game, when he was in 1-on-1 opportunity with Disljenkovic pulling fantastic save. It seems like Crvena Zvezda is looking forward to Levadia as they didn’t give 100% yesterday.

RTS – August, 26th
Live match coverage: Crvena Zvezda-Levadia
Great game from Zvezda today, as they won easily 2nd leg against Estonian champions. Early goal from new central defender, Alessandro Tuia gave them enough confidence to fill Kotenko’s net. Half-time score was 2-0, as Moussa scored in 38th minute. Two more goals in first third of second half by Vormer and Makiese were enough, and all Levadia could do was consolidation goal late in game. Once again, scorer was Leontovits. Crvena Zvezda is through to group stage of UEFA Champions League for second time in row.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage Draw
Serbian champions, Red Star, was somewhat unlucky in today’s draw. They will play in Group C together with Spanish champions Barcelona, Dutch runner-ups PSV Eindhoven and Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kyiv. Everyone expects that Red Star survive cold European winter, but it will be tough job and they should finish at least 3rd to manage to do it. Their first match will be on Marakana against Dynamo on September, 15th.

Dorian Dervite leaves London for one year
21-years old French central defender, Dorian Dervite, came to Crvena Zvezda on loan from Premiership team Tottenham. He will be very important backup in defense.

Man down Zvezda wins at home
Lazy game in first 20 minutes, until Mauricio Molina got his second yellow of the game and had to leave field in 22nd. Two minutes later, Okoduwa scored for 1-0. Serbian NIS Cup First Round Draw
After three qualification rounds of NIS Cup, 32 teams will play in first round, hoping to get trough. Cup holders, Partizan will have to travel to Sevojno, to meet team from Prva Liga Srbije. Also, Crvena Zvezda will play away match in Novi Pazar, while Smederevo will be host to Javor Habitpharm. First round is scheduled for September, 16th, but four matches will be played seven day later because of European competition obligations of Crvena Zvezda, Partizan, Banat and Vozdovac.
