Live match coverage (ETERNAL DERBY): Crvena Zvezda-Partizan
Uefa Cup match against Zaragoza and heavy loss didn’t seem to bother Zvezda’s confidence, as they trashed Partizan in Meridian SuperLiga match. It was great game with lot of chances, and Molina opened scoreline with penalty shot in 6th minute. Rukavina played with hand and it was just enough for referee to point to spot. Crvena Zvezda created more chances, but Vedran Djukaric’s decision to put Agassa on goal was good decision as keeper managed to pull 4 great saves. In second half, it was easier for Zvezda as players in red-and-white shirts had high confidence. Two more goal in second period, first from substitute Fenin and then Molina managed to score his second and Zvezda’s third in this game. Great performance and Crvena Zvezda is now in advantage in SuperLiga as they are now only three points behind Partizan with two games in hand and better head-to-head results (2 wins and 1 draw).

Despite all pressure was off, we’ve seen only two goals, both because of Zvezda’s mistakes. First goal in 25th minute was own goal by Vladimir Djordjevic, and second goal was scored after Adamovic passed ball to Sergio Garcia, who was alone in front of Mustur and managed to score off the post. Zaragoza will play against Manchester United in final match on May, 14th.

After easy win over Bezanija, Crvena Zvezda took the lead in Meridian SuperLiga. Serbian champions and Partizan are on same amount of points, but because of head-to-head results Zvezda is in lead. They also have one game in hand and it all seems like they will take the title. Next match is Serbian Cup final on Marakana.

They have beaten Vlasina, Javor Habitpharm, Borac Cacak and Smederevo to reach this final and fight for their 5th Serbian Cup trophy. Team is very good, combination of youth and experience, and Miroslav Djukic is one of best young managers in world. Most likely, he will field formation 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 with Antonio Rukavina as captain. Most dangerous player in his team is Stevan Jovetic, who is 18 years old and can play as attacking midfielder or striker. Zarko Lazetic was last year’s best scorer in cup, and will want to lift main trophy for first time.
Crvena Zvezda
Delije have most cups in their collection, 10 of them, and will be looking for 3rd straight trophy. Last final they missed was in 1998, when Partizan won against Obilic, and this is chance for Djukaric to put his name on cup. In this season’s cup fixtures Radnicki Novi Beograd, Sindjelic Nis, Metalac Gornji Milanovac and Srem lost in their matches against Zvezda, and this is first and last real test for Serbian champions. Players are tired, as they played in Uefa cup semis, and Vedran Djukaric will put his best squad for this match. Most probably they will play in 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 formation. Zvezda’s captain is Dejan Milovanovic. Last years’ best player in Serbian cup, Nenad Milijas is really tired and won’t start match for sure.

It was 4th and last eternal derby this season. Marakana was full and both Delije and Grobari were eagerly expecting start of the game. Pressing game was played in first half, with most chances ending behind goal line, and those shots that went into goal were stopped by goalkeepers Disljenkovic and Bozovic. But, corner kick in 43rd minute changed scoreline. Aaritalo crossed from corner and Milovanovic was there to head the ball into net. 1-0 for Crvena Zvezda and Delije were celebrating. Two minutes into second half were enough for Partizan to equalize. Bajalica made an error, passed the ball to Jovetic, who done great solo move trough the middle, lobbing Disljenkovic and getting his 3rd cup goal of the season. From that moment, game went once again into pressing situation, with only real chance coming in 83rd minute. Mika Aaritalo made perfect pass from left, Burzanovic dribbled trough central Partizan’s defense, but his shot was repelled by fantastic Bozovic. Unfortunately for him ball went into Jestrovic’s feet, who managed to miss empty net. Game went into overtime where nothing important happened. But, penalties were real thrill. Crvena Zvezda won 2-1 on penalties with goals coming from Jestrovic and Aaritalo, while Brnovic managed to score only penalty for Partizan. Delije were delirious as they snatched win against city rivals and got 3rd in a row Serbian National Cup competition. Great night for every player, staff or fan of Zvezda, especially manager Vedran Djukaric who got first trophy in his first season as manager. Good job, Vedran!

Easy match for Zvezda in Krusevac
Despite good form, Napredak couldn’t stop Crvena Zvezda on their way to title. It was even game, but Burzanovic’s strike after some nice team moves made a difference. Unfortunately, Burzanovic got injured few minutes before end of the game, first prognosis says he will be out for 3 or 4 months, and also Mika Aaritalo injured himself in 50th minute. Luckily for Zvezda, this was only a minor injury. 5th SuperLiga win in a row for Zvezda.

In opening stage of the game, Martin Fenin, who is targeted by Arsenal, got injury, and Filip Djordjevic was in. What can you expect from substitute? Surely, Djukaric didn’t expect from him to score two in first half, but that’s just what he has done. Crvena Zvezda was dominant, getting most of chances, but failed to convert them into more goal. In injury time of second half, they’ve conceded goal. Former Zvezda’s player was scorer of consolidation, Vladimir Mudric. With 3 rounds to go, Crvena Zvezda is in lead with 3 points more than city rivals, Partizan.

On Emirates stadium in London, Manchester United trashed Zaragoza 6-2 with four of these goals coming from superstar forward, Wayne Rooney. This was United’s first Uefa Cup Final match, and Sir Alex Ferguson was really happy with his team. Surprise of competition was Red Star Belgrade, Serbian champions are on their way to 3rd consecutive double and were very unlucky in Semi finals first leg against Zaragoza when they got two red cards after 1-0 lead. Diego Milito and Darren Bent finished competition with 12 goals each, while Martin Fenin finished 6th on Top Scorers list with 8 Uefa Cup goals.

Rossoneri are winner of this year’s Champions League as they won against Real Madrid in final match in Moscow. Scorers were Seedorf and Barzagli, who was key man in Milan’s defense and with that goal clinched man of match award. This is 8th title for rossoneri in Champions League, and Real Madrid has 9. Fantastic performance by red-and-white players, as they dominated match and finished with four goal in opponent’s net. Franklin Salas was scouted during this match by Ecuador’s manager Luis Fernando Suarez, and player had to show some skills. He opened score with early goal which was followed with another just 6 minutes later. Zvezda continued scoring as Koroman finished great teamwork scoring on Molina’s pass. On half-time, Djukaric decided to rest Franklin Salas and Dejan Milovanovic. However, his team didn’t stop there, as Molina scored his 13th SuperLiga goal of the season in 56th minute. He is now topping scorers list, together with Devic from Napredak. Consolidation goal was scored in 83rd minute by Dronov, in period Crvena Zvezda left to Bezanija, as they shifted in lower gear. Fantastic match and next Saturday, Crvena Zvezda will host Mladost Lucani, and if they win, they will become champions once again and clinch the double.

It is last round of SuperLiga, and all eyes are on Crvena Zvezda - Mladost Lucani match. Team from Lucani already got relegated and won’t make much pressure on Crvena Zvezda’s road to win and title. They will most likely field defensive 4-4-2 formation against Zvezda’s attacking version of same formation. 4 key players in their squad won’t be available for squad because of injuries and suspensions. That includes starting goalkeeper Dejan Misic, central midfielder Dejan Kostic, key winger Nebojsa Prtenjak and their top scorer this season with 12 goals, Slavisa Jeremic. Crvena Zvezda is ready for match, but Vedran Djukaric cannot count on Segundo Alejandro Castillo, Vladan Grujic, Mika Aaritalo, Marko Perovic, Igor Burzanovic and Martin Fenin, all because of injuries. Crvena Zvezda is once again champion of Serbia Meridian SuperLiga, after dominant 4-0 win against Mladost Lucani. It was great game, all player put 110% and they can be unhappy not to score more. But, opener was scored by Usani, who won header against Salas, but ball went into his own net. That was half-time score, and Vedran Djukaric decided for more attacking formation 3-4-1-2 with Molina behind Jestrovic and Barcos. Dejan Milovanovic, Zvezda’s captain, was wonderful today, scoring twice and getting fouled in penalty area. Mauricio Molina decided to shoot, and he was confident. Ball went into bottom right corner and Colombian player became this year top scorer in Meridian SuperLiga. Delije were celebrating, singing Zvezda’s songs and praising Vedran Djukaric. Everyone was happy with double and it was delirious atmosphere when captain Milovanovic lifted trophy in air. All board members went to field and 26 champaigns were opened for 26th title. Vedran Djukaric gave us brief interview:
J:You won it! Superb season for you.
VDj:That’s right, we are the champions, weee areee the champioooooons, no time for losers … (hahaha) … I’m happy, we clinched 3rd consecutive double and Delije are great.

Crvena Zvezda won 3rd title in a row, while Cukaricki and Mladost Lucani will spend next season in Prva Liga Srbije. Prva Liga Srbije
Vozdovac are new champions of Prva Liga Srbije, with 4 points ahead of 2nd placed Metalac Gornji Milanovic. Both teams won automatic promotion to Meridian SuperLiga. It will be really interesting in playoff battles, where best out of 4 clubs will play against Borac Cacak. For playoff qualified Novi Sad, Mladost Apatin, Jagodina and Novi Pazar while Hajduk Lion and Rad missed it because of last round losses. Four teams got relegated from Prva Liga Srbije, and those teams are BSK Borca, Srem, CSK Pivara and Radnicki Pirot.

Playoff matches in Prva Liga Srbije
Mladost Apatin and Novi Pazar will meet in two legs final playoff match. Winner will have chance to beat Borac Cacak and qualify for Meridian SuperLiga. Mladost was better on home field against Jagodina 2-0, while Novi Pazar made real surprise winning in Novi Sad, against same-named team 3-1.

Novi Pazar are real surprise this season… Even everyone predicted that they will fight to stay in Prva Liga Srbije, they’ve managed to get into playoff and win in Novi Sad. In final match of Prva Liga Srbije playoff, they’ve done miracle. After losing at home against Mladost 2-1, they had to work hard and make a miracle in Apatin, which they’ve done, winning 2-0 away from home with final 3-2 aggregate result in their favour.

European club rankings announced
After winning Champions League, Italian champions A.C. Milan remained first in Uefa European Club Rankings. They’re followed by Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea. Red Star Belgrade was 7th best club during season 2007/2008 in Europe and manage to step over 61 position and will be 61st team for next season, which means they will probably be seeded club in 3rd qualifying round of Uefa Champions League, of course, if they manage to get into that round. Partizan Belgrade is 94th, while Vojvodina is 234th.

Borac and Novi Pazar to stay put
Serbian football season officially ended with match for remaining spot in SuperLiga. Borac will stay in top division, as they won both games with aggregate score 4-1 and fabulous display. Key player was Predrag Kisjuhas who scored in both games and got one assist, grabbing two man of match awards.

Transfer market opened this morning
Two 18-year old players joined Crvena Zvezda today. Vedran Djukaric was proud to present two youngster in press conference when Haris Handzic and Nacer Barazite signed contracts with Zvezda. Crvena Zvezda payed 250k€ to Sarajevo for talented striker, while Barazite, who plays as attacking midfielder, was payed 4.5m€. This wonderkid is part of Holland U19 setup. On the other side, runner-ups Partizan got their hands on Damir Kahriman, 23-years old goalkeeper from Vojvodina in 4m€ deal.

Today, Djukaric and Stojkovic had meeting on Marakana. During two hours they talked about all things important for Zvezda, and Stojkovic once again congratulated Djukaric on great achievements in his first season. However, main subject of meeting was Djukaric’s contract. Despite great results, Crvena Zvezda offered same amount of money for 1-year extension and Djukaric accepted, so he will stay in Zvezda until 2010.

New transfers in Crvena Zvezda
Crvena Zvezda signed three new players yesterday, and three left club. New signing is Goran Drulic, 31-years old striker who moved on bosman ruling from OFI Crete. He is child of Crvena Zvezda, and he was sold to Zaragoza in 10m€ deal. Now, he is back and his experience will be very important next season. Also, two 20-year old players signed contract with Zvezda. Both are coming from French Ligue 1. Kevin Olimpa is goalkeeper and played for Bordeauxe, while Congoese striker Cris Makiese started career in Troyes before moving to Lille. Michael Reiziger left club after just one season and 7 matches in red-and-white shirt and his next station in Falkirk. Valladolid signed Ivan Randjelovic, who had fight with Vedran Djukaric after arrival of Disljenkovic and is happy to welcome new chapter in career. As we already know, defender Vladimir Djordjevic will play in Zweita next season for Munchen 1860. Crvena Zvezda received 1m€ and 20% of his next transfer.

Steve Marlet on plane to Turkey
After playing only 12 games in Crvena Zvezda, Steve Marlet moved once again and will play for Ankaraspor in next two year. His transfer is worth about 20k€, but Zvezda is happy, because Marlet earned about 150k€ per year and he didn’t score single goal in 12 competitive matches.

Further departures from Marakana
Three more players left Crvena Zvezda today. Ely Thadeu, who was on loan last year in Bezanija, signed for Belgian top division club Genk. Zvezda will receive 240k€, while 25-years old Brazilian signed 5-year contract. Right back Milos Zivkovic will move just several dozens of kilometers, as he signed contract with Smederevo. He played for Borac last year on dual registration and was starter in 23 games, and his move to Smederevo is estimated to be around 60k€. For 55k€ Crvena Zvezda sold Vladan Milosavljev, 21-years old right winger who played for Rad before he joined Zvezda. He is on Magdeburg’s player and will strive to get club into “Zweita”.

Hernan Barcos ends his Marakana episode
Yesterday, Crvena Zvezda sold two more players. Bosnian-born Boris Savic, 20, joined Cibalia in 24k€ deal, while headline is that Hernan Barcos left Crvena Zvezda to join Vitesse. His transfer is worth 1.7m€, and Djukaric is making big bucks this summer. Striker from Argentina was surplus in Zvezda as Makiese and Drulic joined club from Ljutice Bogdana earlier this month.

Another midfielder also left Zvezda, as Marko Djalovic, 3 years younger than Milijas will play for next 4 seasons in Belgium, after he signed contract with Lokeren. Transfer estimate is around 150k€.

Fierce rivals will play in first Serbian Lav SuperCup
In first ever Serbian SuperCup, sponsored by Lav (eng: Lion) beer, Partizan and Crvena Zvezda will meet. In Krusevac, on Mladost stadium it will be historical fight for first Lav SuperCup. Match will be played on Sunday, 20th and will be first competitive game in season for both teams. Crvena Zvezda has cancelled frinedlies against Borac Banja Luka and it’s youth team, and Vedran Djukaric said that there will be no further friendly arrangements.

If you look at results of Zvezda’s pre-season friendlies, you will say that they are bad team, but team’s performance was just enough for Djukaric’s taste. He was happy after match in Hannover, as he tested 37 players and new signings fitted in well. Crvena Zvezda has Lav SuperCup game against Partizan ahead of them, friendly against Galatasaray and then two matches against Apollon Limassol probably, as Cyprus champion won 4-0 in first leg against Portadown.

Today, all betshops around world have put odds on winners of Serbian Meridian SuperLiga. Main challengers will be last year champions Crvena Zvezda (2.00) and runner-ups Partizan (2.25), while Vojvodina also has some chances to lift trophy once season finish with odds 3.50. Everyone else will be fighting for UEFA Cup places and best odds have OFK Beograd, Smederevo and Vozdovac.

When everyone thought that match will end 1-1, Mika Aaritalo broke trough Partizan’s left side of defense and scored magnificent goal from edge of penalty area. But, after 45 seconds Jovetic scored another, maybe from offside and match went to overtime. Despite heavy attack on both goals, Kahriman and Disljenkovic were good on goal lines. In 106th minute corner kicked in by Molina, Frode Kippe was highest jumper and headed it in goal. Perfect! Hard pressure from Partizan in last 10 minutes, but they just couldn’t score. Vedran Djukaric took another trophy, once again in front of Partizan. After 5 eternal derbies, Vedran Djukaric has perfect score, two wins in regular, one in overtime, on penalties and a draw.

Noone expected win when Crvena Zvezda traveled to Turkey to meet Galatasaray, team that will play in Champions League. But, late Stojanovic goal was enough for celebration yesterday. It was really nice to see defenders doing their job, and many of reserve players from main squad were playing. It seems like Zvezda is getting in form. However, injury recovered captain Dejan Milovanovic didn’t travel, since he rejected new contract and it is widely expected that he will leave club before match with Apollon.

Multimillion worth Janko Tumbasovic, Vojvodina’s central midfielder from Montenegro, signed contract with Crvena Zvezda. Dejan Milovanovic said goodbye to Marakana. Toulouse was first in line, but Valencia stepped in and Milovanovic was seen as bat already. However, Vitesse gave him best contract and he moved to Holland, where he will play together with Barcos. In front of 15.000 spectators, Crvena Zvezda played just enough to clinch 4-1 home win. Bajalica gave his team lead after corner in 19th minute. Despite creating several chances Zvezda failed to score another in first half. Some tactical alternations in Zvezda’s game was just enough to dominate second half. Vladan Grujic – golden boy for Zvezda
Defensive midfielder from Banja Luka, Vladan Grujic, was just 8 months in Crvena Zvezda, as he arrived in Belgrade on January, 1st on free transfer and yesterday he signed 3-year contract with French team Caen. Zvezda will get 2.5m€ from this transfer, but it was hard decision for Vedran Djukaric to let him go. Grujic got injured after playing only 3 matches in Zvezda and Delije were not happy with his performances in these 3 games, so he was glad to start new chapter in his life.

Today in Nion was made draw for Champions League third round of qualifications. First name out of hat was Dynamo Kiev, and Djukaric put his head in hands before official representative announced that they will meet better from Apollon Limassol-Red Star match. Another tie of a round will be meeting of Spanish 4th team, Sevilla and Turkish champions, Galatasaray. Everything Djukaric said after draw was: “Osveta! Vendetta! Almost full Marakana was expecting another great match between city rivals Crvena Zvezda and Partizan. But, they didn’t expect Zvezda’s total domination and many Delije are more than happy with their team’s performance. It all started with two fantastic interventions by Damir Kahriman, as Makiese and Salas had great chances to score. In 10th minute corner kick for Crvena Zvezda, Mika Aaritalo kicked it into penalty area, there was Ibrahima Gueye and guess what? Goal! Crvena Zvezda didn’t stop there, Partizan just couldn’t make 3 pass in row. After great solo move Mika Aaritalo scored in 36th minute. In 44th, Makiese could add another, but his shot was stopped by crossbar. Second half was almost the same, with Partizan’s players getting yellow cards and Zvezda creating chances. Kahriman was in-form and can be very unhappy with his mates in defense. Makiese had to leave field in 76th, as he done cynical foul in central circle. Anyway, that didn’t stop Crvena Zvezda. They still dominated midfield, but only had one good chance, when Barazite had 1-on-1 chance, but Kahriman was great. In just one year six eternal derbies, and Djukic has to find way to beat Crvena Zvezda.

Grzegorz Bronowicki played in yesterday’s eternal derby win for Crvena Zvezda, but after match he went to Nikola Tesla airport. His final destination is St. Etienne, as everything was arranged two days ago, but media found it out after game. Transfer details are not known, but many experts are saying that deal under 5m€ would not make Djukaric let his best wingback. During next three weeks, Zvezda will be looking list of potential players in defense.

Spectators couldn’t see much in this game, but Bezanija was close to equalize in 87th minute when Mihajlovic hit the post. After qualifying for group stage of Uefa Champions League, Vedran Djukaric, manager of Crvena Zvezda, contacted us after long time for an interview.
J:You cannot fail, can you?
VDj:I can, but with all these players around me, it isn’t hard to succeed.
J:After double, you clinched SuperCup and managed to get into group stage of CL. What can we expect in future?
VDj:Another double. In Champions League we will do as much as we can, but it is hardest group we could get, and I’ll be really happy with 3rd position.
J:Lot of transfer around Marakana lately, and in three days transfer market will close. Will you bring any more players?
VDj:Three players are very close to Marakana. I cannot say which players, but they are very good.
J:Your start this season is very impressive. Will squad miss Milovanovic, Aaritalo, Milijas, Trisovic, Barcos…?
VDj:No, they are all professionals, and they know that all players left because they wanted. I’m not happy, but couldn’t do much. Milovanovic decided not to renew his contract, while Mika Aaritalo wanted to go to Valencia. But, we’ve brought cash in, as much as we could.
J:You are running war in press with Miroslav Djukic.
VDj:I have good relationship with him, we go to pub on drink very often, but when it comes to club, hmm… In person I told him that if he wants to win trophy he should go to Prva Liga Srbije, and he just laughed.
J:Is Partizan still closest to Crvena Zvezda in Serbia?
VDjespite selling several first-time players, they are 2nd best, after us … (hahaha) … They have great youth academy and are drafting players from it.
J:Someone said that your CL group looks very similar to Partizan’s, when they were in groups for only time.
VDj:That is true. That year Porto won CL, Real Madrid was good and Marseille played in final of Uefa Cup. But, I think this year it will be hard, as Real Madrid has fantastic team and will be first, with HSV, Porto and us battling for second and third place. Both teams have better players, as they have sponsors with more money and can offer better wages. Our teamwork and good relationships within club will help us finish third.

VDj:There is always another season, or another club.

After signing Stefan Babovic who played for fierce rivals Partizan, Crvena Zvezda signed Miralem Sulejmani in 3.7m€ deal. 19-years old attacking midfielder played just one and a half season in Heerenveen after arriving from Partizan. Delije aren’t happy with these two players, but are ready to give them a shot.

Djukaric told in interview for RTS that he will sign three more players this summer. After signing Sulejmani, he wanted wingback and defensive midfielder. 18-years old Morgan Schneiderlin, can play both as defensive midfielder and central defender. He came from RC Strasbourg in 2.9m€ deal. Manuel Ruz is right wingback and came from Granada for 3.5m€. He started his career in Valencia, but spent last three years in Granada. Vedran Djukaric had to beat PSG’s offer to get this player.

Miralem Sulejmani, Stefan Babovic and Gojko Gacar made their debuts in Crvena Zvezda, while 19-years old Sulejmani, who played as left winger, scored goal. Crvena Zvezda managed to get fifth straight win in Meridian SuperLiga yesterday, as they won game 3-2 against Banat Zrenjanin. Makiese’s goal gave Zvezda lead, and with that lead team went for half-time break. In second half it was even game, and Banat equalized with own goal from Manuel Ruz, who played his debut match in red-and-white shirt. Everyone thought that game will end in draw, when Koroman managed to break trough opponents’ defense and scored game-winning goal. Tonight, predictions that this match is created for draw, but we have to wait 90 minutes to see result. Crvena Zvezda will play in 442 formation, while away team, HSV, will play diamond variation of same formation. It is 15th minute, Van Der Vaart is in clear, he is dribbling Pantic, can he go trough? No, it is foul. Referee is approaching Aleksandar Pantic, and he will give him card, oh my god, it’s a red one, Zvezda’s right back goes for shower and Vedran Djukaric is sending Nikola Ignjatijevic in, while Franklin Salas will leave field. One man down and it will hard to keep this result against leaders of Bundesliga. Good long pass from Koroman, Drulic receives ball, he went by Nigel De Jong, can Luisao keep him, Drulic is trough, one on one situation with Rost and that’s a gooaaaaaaaal. After 26 minutes, Crvena Zvezda is leading with man down. HSV is keeping pressure on Zvezda’s last line of defense, but they just cannot make good chance inside Disljenkovic’s area, all shots are from long distance. Half-time and Juan Angel Albin substitutes Castillo who gets applauses from Delije. Can HSV score? They are near, but just cannot go inside penalty area and have good shot. Koroman earns corner kick for red-and-whites in 55th minute. Albin will take it, its inside box, Bajalica, gooooooooaaaaal. Another with man down, great job done by Zvezda’s players, oh, no, referee says Bajalica fouled Palacio. Luka Elsner is in, Bajalica will leave field. Crvena Zvezda is still leading. HSV players are making circle around assistant, they are thinking that isn’t offside, but slow motion points Esparza behind Elsner, who was last man of defense. Disljenkovic kicks ball back in field, referee whistles and that’s end of the game. Crvena Zvezda won 1-0, everyone is celebrating. Despite being in own third for most of the game, players in red-and-white shirts managed to defend with Disljenkovic making fabulous saves on goal line.

Despite heavy pressure on Rad’s goalkeeper, Crvena Zvezda lost in first round of Serbian NIS Cup. Crvena Zvezda conceded last-second goal in 6th minute of injury time when Jovanovic’s header ended in net. Vedran Djukaric was disappointed with finishing of Makiese and Jestrovic and cup holder failed on first step. This unexpected loss ends Delije’s hopes off 4th consecutive double, but their team will have easier schedule this year. In second cup match today Partizan scored ten goals against Hajduk Lion in away win 10-2. However, Hajduk Lion lost three players due to injuries and got two players sent-off early in game.

Crvena Zvezda produced good performance against Real Madrid and lost with minimal result. Primera champions are undoubtedly superior team, but brave and intelligent play from Serbian best club created lot of problems for home team. Only goal was scored from dubious position, as Raul kicked ball in net with his first touch, just 30 seconds after getting in game in 64th minute. Assistant said Raul was onside when received ball from Robinho, and slow motion showed that millimeters decided. Djukaric can be happy with his players, and Jestrovic had one good chance after counter-attack, but Casillas saved the day with superb intervention in 1-on-1 situation.

Borac Cacak couldn’t make any resistance against SuperLiga champions, Crvena Zvezda. When it was already 2-0, in 45th minute, Dusan Petkovic got sent off, after receiving second yellow card. Ognjen Koroman got injured during the match, while substitute Nenad Jestrovic scored 2 and got man of match award in just 29 minutes he played.

Good performance in first half was enough for Zvezda to take three points against Porto. After great solo move, Albin sent ball in top right corner of Helton’s goal. It was 1-0 in 19th minute and Delije started their choreography as stadium chanted and singed. Young Dutchman Barazite extended lead in 33rd, while corner kick taken by same man three minutes after gave opportunity to Ibrahima Gueye to score and he didn’t fail. 3-0 after first half was just enough for win, as Porto couldn’t score more than two goals in second half. Leandro Lima reduced lead two minutes after the break with perfect goal from outside the area, while Vagner Love’s late goal from offside position gave Porto hope that they can take point on Marakana. Crvena Zvezda secured third place with this win and will be fighting with HSV and Real Madrid for first two positions. All three teams have same amount of points.

Dominating Zvezda fails to win with greater margin
Despite dominating game, Crvena Zvezda could drop two points, but referee disallowed Jevdjovic’s second goal because of offside. Zvezda opened game with few good chances, and one of them was converted by Goran Drulic. Molina added another from free kick. In second half, Zvezda was still better team, but mistake from reserve keeper Pavlovic gave Jevdjovic chance to reduce the score, and he did it. 2-1 with 20 minutes to go. Few minutes later Jevdjovic scored another, but was in offside.

Serbian champions and league leaders, Crvena Zvezda scored two goals early in the game and played easy until full-time whistle. Molina opened the score in 5th and then assisted Cris Makiese eleven minutes later. Vojvodina had their chances too, but Disljenkovic was good, while Jestrovic hitted the post in injury time. After 13 rounds, Crvena Zvezda has 35 points, twelve more than Banat and Napredak, while Vojvodina has 17, just as Partizan who has three games in hand. First of them is tomorrow against Metalac on Stadion JNA.

Tonight match was one of the best in Champions League so far, attacking formations, attractive football and fabulous performance by all the players was just enough for all TV viewers to be at least happy with the show. It all started with genius pass from Van Der Vaart in 2nd minute. Rodrigo Palacio received the ball and sent it into net. Cold shower for Delije, and it seemed like Red Star’s confidence went down, but Koroman’s cross ended in net, as Rost misjudged ball’s trajectory. Just minute after leading goal for HSV, Serbian champion scored equalizer. Both teams had good chance to score, but Red Star unexpectedly took the lead in 16th minute when Torje’s cross went into box and Fenin headed the ball past the goal line. Home team took initiative, but failed to score, as Disljenkovic made brilliant saves. On half time away team went with lead. Disljenkovic continued showing fantastic display of his skills with stopping shots from Van Der Vaart, Palacio, Zidan, De Jong and Esparza. Mexican left back scored for 2-2 on pass from Van Der Vaart, but assistant dissalowed it because of the offside. Despite home team’s protest 2-1 was still result. Seven minutes later, in 79th Juan Angel Albin went down near penalty area. Referee whistled free kick. Molina’s low cross found Martin Fenin who scored his second of the game. Vedran Djukaric won another game against HSV, with fantastic record of 3 wins in 3 games. Serbian champions, Red Star qualified to eight-finals of Uefa Champions League with this win, and they can finish first in group if they win against Real Madrid on Marakana in last round.

Frode Kippe is transfer target, and is almost sure he will become new Zaragoza player in 2m€ deal. On the other side, Tevfik Kose will become new Zvezda’s player next week. When FSS opened transfer market yesterday, Crvena Zvezda made first moves. They signed two young players for about 3.5m€. Tevfik Kose is Turkish 20-years old striker who started his career in Bayer Leverkusen, but didn’t get German citizenship yet. After moving to Ankaraspor he scored 27 goals in 38 matches. Zvezda also grabbed 18-years old keeper, David De Gea from Deportivo in 1m€ deal. Young keeper arrived to Deportivo from Atletico Madrid two years ago, but didn’t make debut in Deportivo’s first team. Frode Kippe left Marakana to join Italian Seria A team Udinese. In 2m€ deal defender left Marakana where he spent 18 months, playing 38 matches and scoring 2 goals.

Shocking decision was made today by Vedran Djukaric as he kicked Jestrovic out of Marakana. Serbian striker scored 15 goals in last 18 months in Zvezda, and will be looking for new club. Miroslav Djukic will have to wait until next season for his chance to win against Vedran Djukaric as Zvezda got another match in their unbeaten row, both in SuperLiga and against eternal rivals Partizan. We’ve seen two completely different halves. In first, Partizan dominated, but failed to score until last minute of first half. Stevan Jovetic sent ball to Ranko Despotovic, who ended his great solo move with perfectly placed shot from penalty area. After break, Djukaric decided for offensive tactics and it paid off in 78th minute, when Cris Makiese continued scoring goals against Partizan after great one-two with his forward partner, Goran Drulic. In injury time, Nacer Barazite had great chance to make another, but Damir Kahriman saved his shot and Partizan’s one point. Another good match between eternal and city rivals tonight on Marakana, and Zvezda kept 18 points distance between Banat and Partizan with game against Vojvodina in hand.

Serbian champions didn’t stop after drawing against fierce rivals, Partizan, but decided to win against Bezanija with five goals margin. Makiese opened the scoreline with goal in 26th second of the match, and awarded it to Vedran Djukaric who was celebrating his 32nd birthday. Soon enough, Zvezda had safe and clear lead of 3-0, when referee Igor Paunovic sent off Prodanovic in 40th minute. Djordjevic scored another before half time, but goal was disallowed because of the offside. In second minute after the break Mihajlov scored for 3-1, but it was offside. Two more goals in second half from central defenders, Bajalica and Gueye for final 5-0 result. With Banat and Partizan drawing, Zvezda extended their lead by two points to 20, with game in hand. However, they will miss Gabriel Torje, who got injured late in the game, and won’t play in this season any more.
