Default Stories Forum Massively Multiplayer Online Network Game - (FM07)

Hi there .

After last nights hugely successful World Cup, some of us agree it would be nice to have a go at this one a regular basis. We haven't yet decided what days times to play but the sessions really I feel should last no longer than three hours.

FM07 seems really smooth on netplay - certainly a hell of a lot quicker than the old days For last nights World Cup we had all of England, Scotland and Sweden loaded plus quite countries on 'retain all players' and large db and besides the Swedish leagues popping up at first, the game was not noticeable for its slowness. (Except Amaroq )

With that in mind we have decided to go for three different countries, and so will be playing from Scotland, Holland and France. Team allocation and other stuff will be decided once we have decided times, but it's probably a good idea to all start together at least, possibly in France.

Ok this is an FMS game, which means there will be a story attached to it. Also, only FMS regulars are invited to take part so please don't feel hurt when we tell you to bugger off.

At the moment, there is no limit on placings simply because I seriously doubt we could get an active group in double figures.

I will be the main host for the duration, however it would be nice if at least one other person was willing to be a standby host in case of unavailability of myself. I'm sure Raptor would give us a space on his webserver to upload the game each week - which would also be useful for match reports - and with Broadband these days thats shouldn't be a problem at all.

So if you want to join please leave either your name, address, telephone number, bank account details, paypal account details here. Please also indicate which League/level you would prefer to start with and also your prefered six sides from the three countries listed. (Ie two from each, probably a big and a small club.)

Players who have already expressed a preferance and who will be given priority due to their exploits last night, (but still need to list their team choices).

Terk, WLKRAS, Panpardus, Amaroq and PM7. (If I missed anyone out it's just because I hate you.)

We would be looking to start this asap.

OK I'm ready lets get it going like..now!

Selections:

France: 1st -1) Paris SG. 2) Troyes 2nd -1) Caen 2) GuincampHolland: 1st -1) NEC 2) FC Twente 2nd -1) Helmond 2) OmniworldScotland: SPL -1) Motherwell 2) Kilmarnock 2nd -1) Morton 3rd -1) Queens Park

I know absolutely nothing about Scottish football so i just picked the side with Aussies I knew, the lower divs are just names i've heard of before

France: played there before not a bad league, all starting there would be good i think

Holland: Again i know sfa about this league and again just picked sides with Aussies in them

Personally I would like to see us all in the same league to start with makes it more interesting, also we should all start with the same experience as to not give anyone an advantage, any way looking forward to it

You know FM08 will be out in just a few weeks, will people still want to run this on 07 thereafter? Will people want/be able to have both games installed if theirs is an older machine? Can I play please?
