Niall Calls me into the office after the result.
"Connor you have 1.4m to spend its small but you can purchase good players with it, Go and find us a good player to turn our season around."
I thought on 1.4m? how can i turn the season around on that.

I just nodded and got ready for the Newcastle FA Cup Tie

One thing that boosted me alot was the Loan Signing of Branko Illic a top CB.
I placed a bid of 550k for Kazenga LuaLua i felt his flair down the left wing could be vital.

Just as i was about to leave the office i had a phone call.

My Offer for Kazenga was accpted we signed a contract and he was on his way unable to play on Saturday against his former club.

Newcastle v Sunderland FA CUP

A mixed time for Dean Whitehead he scored after just 15 seconds then got sent off in the 16th minute overrall we dominated.

I was proud of the team they played great dispite going a man down.

To add to Dean Whiteheads ban Liam Miller got injured for a month and i got a touchline ban for calling the ref a disgrace.

So for the game against Blackburn we were missing are 2 best Mids and Me.

We were boosted by the arrival of Lua Lua on the Left Wing

I sat in the crowd serving my ban for this match.
Lua Lua made his debut.
After 33 Minutes Zarate scored one of the goals of the season.
He got the ball at the Half way line ran until 25 yards out then smashed it past Friedel.
Then 6 Minutes later Anthony Stokes scored to put us 2-0 up
After 51 Zarate scored a second for him and our 3rd.

We won 3-0 i was delighted but i was sour it took for me not to be there for the players to pull their fingers out.



This showed what they felt about me.

Just before the end of the window Lazio placed a £10m Offer for Gordon i turned it down hes been too good to let go.


Next up for the most important game of the season
Against Boro


Sunderland V Boro

After 6 minutes were 1-0 Down
Due to a Hoyte OG

But 20 minutes Later Zarate pegs them back 1-1
7 minutes later its 2-1
1 minute into the second Half Greg Halfwit sorry Halford Lashes out at a Boro player down to 10 men.
But despite this we hang on to win.
I was delighted with the win

Next up was pompey.

Portsmouth v Sundeland
We went into the break at 0-0 i was happy as Pompey were doing well this year and my team was playing well.

I was much much happier in the 74th Minute when Zarate Dispatched a 25 yard free Kick 1-0
And we hang on to win 1-0!

2 wins in a row we were playing well and was only in the Drop Zone on Goals Scored

I now know 1 more win would put us in command.

Next up was West Ham a game i was sure we could win.

Niall called me in to his office.

West Ham V Sunderland
A vital game a win would get us out of the drop zone for the first time this season.

At Half time it was 0-0 i was pleased its not easy to go to the Boleyn and play well yet we were.
Although the smile was wiped off my face a Bellamy scored after 52 minutes.
After 94 minutes they scored again 2-0.
Next up was Spurs a very tough game.

Sunderland Vs Tottenham
Sunderland took a huge step towards safety today because of Mauro Zarate.
They recorded a 1 goal victory against Spurs.
Sunderland are currently 2 points ahead of bolton but they have 2 games in hand.


After this win Niall called me to the office and gave me an extra £4m transfer funds which helped massively.


In The Spotlight
This week in the spotlight is Sunderland Striker Mauro Zarate.
The Young Argie joined from Al Sadd for a tiny fee of £2.7m Despite carrying this tiny price tag he was dismissed by many pundits.
But Mauro has turned it around in the Premiership he has scored 14 times in 25 appearances and racking up 3 assists.
Its amazing to think it the premiership in his first season with not great quality around him he has done this especially considering the fact he is only 20 Years old.
His performances for Sunderland have earned him 2 Caps for the Argentinian Under 21's scoring 1 goal.
Sunderland will be hoping Zarate is on form when Sunderland take on another relagation candidate Birmingham.
If Sunderland pick up 3 points they are all but safe unless they make a huge mistake.

Birmingham V Sunderland
This is a vital match for both sides with both hovvering around the drop zone.
Birmingham puts the black cats on the back foot with an early goal from Liam Ridgewell.
At Half time at ST. Andrews its 1-0.
In the 62nd minute Liam Ridgewell scored again but the goal was ruled offside.
Birmingham were made to rue this when Anthony Stokes struck in the 82nd minute.
In the end it finished 1-1 with no side better or worse off in the league.

Sunderland are currently still favorites to go down.

This is down to there tough run in with Fixtures against Champions United Arsenal Villa Everton and Newcastle all providing tough games.
Next up is Man Utd at the Stadium of Light.
