Ben didn't understand why Rachel was so angry with him, but he didn't have time to think about it. He had to pack his bags and join the team for the trip, Rachel or no Rachel.
Still, he couldn't stop thinking about it as they boarded the plane. 'What did I do?' Ben thought, totally puzzled. It occupied his thoughts pretty much every minute of the long journey.
Meanwhile...
"Ring ring!"
"Oh why doesn't that boy pick up his phone?" Rachel muttered exasperatedly.
"Is it because he's still mad at me? Oh what a childish prat he is."
Then she suddenly remembered Ben talking about the trip to Malaysia, and then it struck her.
"Oh bummer."

As the team touched down in Kuala Lumpur, Ben felt an immediate sense of familiarity. Although it wasn't his home country, he still felt comfortable enough to be in his 'territory'.
The team was drawn in Group A, along with Ajax, AC Milan and Brazilian side Flamengo. They would be based in the town of Alor Setar, just slightly north of the capital.
Before they actually got down to business, the team was alowed a short sightseeing tour. Ben used the best of his knowledge to introduce the various specialities of the tropical country. The time spent bonding with his teammates certainly boosted his confidence.

Arsenal's first match saw them come up against the Dutch giants Ajax in the Darul Aman Stadium. The stifling Malaysian heat didn't help either team adapt, save for Ben who was used to it having grown up in such conditions.
Truth be told, the match wasn't really anything to shout about, as both teams struggled to get into gear in the humid weather. Ben started the game at right back, and gave a solid though unspectacular performance, like the rest of the team.
In the dying minutes however, Ajax's Christian Supasepa went in on a challenge on Arsenal's Abu Ogogo. Maybe the heat got to them, but a brawl ensued and both players found themselves sent off.
So the match ended goalless, and two men short.

In the second match, Arsenal came up agianst the Brazilian team Flamengo. They were always a dangerous proposition, especially as they would be better suited to the climate than Arsenal would have.
Nevertheless the Gunners tried their best to attack, with everything to play for after all four teams drew their first matches.
Winger and skipper for the Junior Gunners Jay Simpson opened the scoring in the 16th minute, their first goal of the tournament. However, the Brazilians hit back immediately, with Kayke Rodrigues equalising.
5 mintues before half time however, Rene Stern brought down Kayke in the box, and a penalty was awarded. Kayke picked himself up and scored the penalty, and Arsenal went into the break behind.
Much as Ben and the team tried, the could not find their way back into the game as they quickly tired out. And so, the Brazilians hung on for the win. It was massively disappointing for Steve Bould and his charges.
Elsewhere, AC Milan beat Ajax 1-0 to go on 4 points, along with Flamengo after their opening 1-1 draw with each other. Ajax and Arsenal only had the point they shared between themselves to show for their efforts. But with one match to go there was still everything to play for.

In the final group match, Arsenal came up against AC Milan int he same venue, while Flamengo played Ajax simultaneously at the Cheras Stadium in Kuala Lumpur. It was all or nothing now. Arsenal had to win to have any chance of progressing.
Unfortunately, things didn't go well, as Pierre Aubameyang scored after 30 minutes to put the Italians int he lead. After that though, it was stout Italian defending that held out, as Arsenal struggled to get past Milan's defence.
When the final whistle went, the Junior Gunners slumped to the floor, disappointed that their tournament had ended early. However, Steve Bould tried to encourage them, saying that the boys had did well in the tough conditions against strong opponents.
But still, the fact was the team were going home early. With the exception of Ben of course. He had been granted special permission to go to Singapore to visit his family, something he was really excited about, for he hasn't visited his home country since his spell at Woodlands ended.

Actually there is a Pierre-Emerick, which I suppose is who I'm referring too.
They're all brothers, which is annoying. :p
