Okay guys. I've though this through, and decided to give Arsenal a season similar to real life. Thanks for the support and comments and ideas. Much appreciated.

Wenger gave Ben a brief summary of Arsenal's season while he was gone. Basically the team made it all the way to the League Cup Final, where they lost narrowly to Chelsea (Scum, thought Ben). In terms of league position, they finished a disapointing fourth, and didn't do very well in Europe either.

Ben meanwhile went to Hawaii to look for the best doctor for his ankle. When it became evident that nothing more could be done to shorten the recovery period, Ben was disappointed, but made the most of it by enjoying himself and basically not thinking too much about it. Rachel's support helped loads as well.

But the fun's over now, and the serious work's beginning. Arsene started to outline to Ben the season's targets, both as a team and for Ben personally. It all sounded very exciting, and Ben realised that he was on the cusp of the first team. It was a big step closer to his dream of pulling on the Arsenal jersey and playing for his boyhood club.

He simply couldn't wait...

P.S. I thought of creating a spinoff story about Ben and Rachel personally, but it obviously doesn't belong here. We'll see...

Brilliant story mate. Being an Arsenal fans, even if it isn't a real story, i hope he becomes the worlds best defender lol. By the way what does KUTGW mean?

Anyway I'll rush something out as I'll be fairly busy this weekend.

Wenger had some good news for Ben.

"Ben", he started, "We will be sending our youth team to the Champions Youth Cup to be held in Malaysia. And I'd like you to join them."

Ben was curious, so he asked for more information.

"The Champions Youth Cup basically is a tournament between the youth teams of some of the world's biggest clubs. The inaugural one will be held in Malaysia, and teams such as Chelsea, Man U, AC Milan, Ajax, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Inter Milan and Boca Juniors, among others, will be taking part." Wenger explained.

"Wow!" Ben's eyes widened. He was excited at the prospect of facing such illustrious opposition.

"I'd like you to play in this tournament for two main reasons. Obviously one is for you to gain match experience. The other is that you get a rare chance to go back to your home region, so you might want to visit your folks." Wenger continued.

"Thank you Sir! Thank you very much!" Ben could hardly contain himself. He was nearly falling off his seat.

"Don't be too excited yet. The tournament only starts in early August. We have two months of pre-season to go through yet." Wenger tried to calm Ben down.

"I'll work hard Sir!" Ben promised. But he was so looking forward to the tournament.
