If the fan day is effective (you'll be told after the match) it may positively affect long term attendances, and vice versa.

Fan days are usually held for games that the board feel will be low on attendance, so there wont be an average amount of fan days per season as it entirely depends on which team you are and how your are doing.

I've only ever had one, but didnt stick around long enough aftwerward to see what the effects were.

I had 2 pre patch and both failed despite big wins

I also had a couple and despite winning 1-0 both, they are told as missed opportunities to impress supporters.
