I am.
Why? Well, I like to retrieve adequate players fast and easy.
I know how to find good players without the Genie, only it is costing me a lot of time and thus disturbing the joy in my games.
I don't use Genie for seeing their potentials, because that would destroy my joy as well.
Currently it is still a gamble: will a player turn out to be good or excellent?
I also use the Genie for comparing my club against the other ones (combined player values, stadium size & attendance, financial info, average age, etc…). Not only for comparing in my own league but also against the world.
The new Genie Scout is a little delayed but I've some little information from Eugene, the FM Genie Scout programmer himself:
“I hope, in the nearest future I'll release the first beta, but I don't want to give an exact date.”
People can download the new scout here soon:

In the mean time, Mini-scout, another tool, is improved and is getting Genie allures. It is clever gaining market share in the FM tools due the delay of Genie.
With the new Search list feature, it will please many users. Now you can ask Mini Scout, by instance, to provide a list of all goalkeepers with a CP of minimum 100.
It’s still not as good as Genie Scout, but Mini-Scout works for FM2008 version 801 (the patched one)
You can download it here:

It’s possible that your anti-virus will panic due the
false detection of a Trojan.dropper.agent.BJL at the last link.
Don’t worry, it’s a false alarm. I checked it with other virus tools and it’s clean.
