I'm still on FM07 (and for the first time, doing a bloody good job, too!), managing Atletico Madrid whose finances are shaky.
Whilst looking through my finances I've noticed that every time I get my head above water and make a profit for a certain month, I lose a large chunk to "Other"
What on earth is "Other"?
September's just passed and I would have made £400k profit for that month, only to LOSE £2.2MILLION to "Other" (meaning I made a loss of £1.8M for that month)
Like I said : W.T.F???
We have no loans or stadium payments, all non-football costs are in that particular column, wages are listed and everything else is in it's place so what else could it be? Something simple I've overlooked, perhaps? Or an added dimension to make the game that little bit more difficult? Does this "Other" remain on FM08? Anybody got an idea what it could be?
Ideas greatly appreciated because I feel like I'm being robbed.
nobody knows for sure what it is, i have asked before in here. the most comon answer was scouting fees. but it was still outrageously high even when my scouts werent on missions.
it is a very big pain in the anus! (imo)
Well it's not ruining my game as such, it's just a niggle.
It's a shame nobody knows what it is though.
I remember something similar on Alex Ferguson's Player Manager 2001 on the PS1 - the game wouldn't let you have over £50Million in the bank; as soon as you went over that sum, it took out a few million as "other" to get you back below said figure.
I actually used to buy players off teams whose balance was close to £50M - they would then lose more than I initially gave them, he he he
