I'm just thinking of buying a widescreen LCD monitor. But it's crossed my mind FM 08 probably won't run widescreen.
Just wondered if anyone has a widescreen and how FM 08 plays on it.

I have a new computer hopefully arrriving this week with a 22" widesceen monitor,so would be interested to read any info from members already using widesceen.

I seem to remember someone posting about this before and finding a workaround, it had something to do with adding parameters to the shortcut. Might be worth doing a search.

I just play it in a window rather than full screen.

I am using a widescreen and I love it.
By default it gives you a rather bad resolution, but if you do a search there are plenty of threads where there has been posted a workaround. I definately reccomend running FM on a widescreen.

i have a wopping 24inch and it looks mighty fine. no distortion or stretching

YOu need to use the fullscreen_height and fullscreen_width parameters on the short cut ...I dont know why the preferences dont just have a setting for resolution, as per most games in this day.

use the command line options for setting the full screen resolution and make sure you set it the same as your new monitor's natural resolution - that will avoid any blurring caused by upscaling.
