After playing one full season with the long awaited and much needed patch, I must say everything got worse.

First of all let me tell you that I think there are no show stoppers, but so many very wrong items that make the game hard to enjoy for a seasoned player.

I do not think there are major "bugs" per se, nor serious bias to help the AI but the game engine has become totally unrealistic.

Offside

The game just cannot recognize what is an offside.
Here is an example:
1) the striker gets a ball midfield
2) dribbles past the opposition defender (thus is not offside)
3) shoots
4) the opposition's keeper deflect the ball
5) the striker shoots on the rebound and scores
That is not offside!!!
I have seen that happen so many times, and the players do not even protest.
Pretty much, the rule is not implemented correctly.

Corners
With the new patch, having a player flick on near post results in a sure miss.
This means that you are forced not to keep a player in that position.
Not a show stopper...but why?

One on ones

I totally agree that the "quality" of chances is influenced by tactics, but this has got nothing to do with that.
A one-on-one with the keeper chance is a high quality chance, no discussion there.
This is why in a real game one-on-ones are rare...sure they can be missed...but seeing the best players in the World... Kaka, Drogba, Ronaldinho, Messi miss 5-6 one-on-ones a game each is just ridiculous.

Long shots

We all know the issue... so now we are all forced to set all long shots to "rare"...what a loss. In a real game long shots tactics are an important factor... you can use them to test the keeper, to waste time, to take advantage of the rain...Now it's just random....

I could go on... Free-kicks have got worse, you hardly ever score, most of them result in a straight shot 20 meters away from the goal. Marking is a joke, but it doesn't matter... you know the slowest striker is going twice as fast than your best defender, get one-on-one with your keeper..and pass him the ball.

I think Beta patches were slightly better in terms of game engine...too bad you couldn't score on penalties, and penalties were hardly ever awarded, plus the closing down bug and so on.

I honestly think that at this point it is too late to fix this game, so I sadly give up.

It is not about the bugs, but it is not about football either anymore.
