Default FM better or worse with the Patch

I posted last week about buying FM and a lot of people told me to wait for the patch. I have been reading a lot since the patch came out and have seen a lot of Pro's and Con's. My question now is FM better or worse with the patch.

I'm also not sure whether to buy this version or not. How much would you rate it it out of 10 post patch?

I personally think that the game is better with the patch, it fixes many a' bugs which ruin the game.

Every machine is different though.

Even better, i was having lots of fun from the box, with beta patch 1 and 2. Now im having even more fun - probably soley down to the fact my team is now winning things - not the actual patch.

Id give it a 10. Wont find a beter football manager game anywhere else so its hard to give it anything different.

imo, if you have fm07, there is no reason to buy 08. There are no new functions that really make a difference gameplay wise and pretty much no other parts of the game have been significantly improved. You are basicly paying for a database update.

I have FM 07 and I guess my main problem is deciding whether or not to get this one.
