I think this sounds like a good idea to be honest. It's not SI's fault if some lower league clubs around the world don't have big pictures. Put the pressure on the clubs instead. Not that hard to get a camera and take pictures of your players.
Send a mail to the clubs... Most of them probably have better pictures but just not on the web. I mean... Seriously... When I was coaching a team of 16-17 year olds, we had pictures in 3264x2448 of all players, the entire team and action shots. Doesn't take a whole lot of work.

180x180 is definitely a step forward imo. Looking forward to the new game.

Technically there still are huge logos. In the config for normal logos, each line is duplicated to link them to huge logos as well.

Question for Ter:
You said before that we have time enough to make logo and face packs before the game is out, but beside dimensions we have no idea what to make. There is lot of us which can make action scripts for logos and don't have to wait for you to publish it, and thus it would be wery usefull if you would post here specifications of BG logos; something like my guestimate from before.
Actualy for me only thing I wonder is value of alfa chanel after layer mask is applayed. If you would be so kind to post that information, I would be able to publish action scripts for other to get on working with packs.

You've forgotten something, image rights, most of the clubs won't let you have the bigger pictures, believe me I tried emailing several last year. They wouldn't even let me have the logo. So this was a suggestion with lack of knowledge.

Ter - if I'd like to start creating FacePacks in 190x190 dimension - should I create pictures with background or without background (I mean like grass, stadium)

Will anyone be creating an equivalent program of FMXML for 08? Or will the last one work with creating the code to put graphics into this game.

I really enjoy putting my own facepacks and logo's into the game, I just rely on that program because I don't understand how the stuff works.

The alpha value is 26 (10%); I think the background logo is made by cropping the 180×180 logo to 300×100 and shifting it 65px to the left/right. (I found a background logo in the graphics.fmf file, though I can’t edit or extract the directory structure of that file.)

VEG - give it a rest man, SI arnt gonna change the game just becasue your winging about it, if you dont like it don't buy the game!!

TER - i think the new faces are brilliant. i'm not denying they wont be hard to create but i bet some people had problems making the original ones at first. once they get the hang of it they will all be making them, ive already seen some top ones flying around the forums.

people are complaing cuz they dont like change, but change is the way forward, and as the technology gets batter so does football manager

keep up the good work

I think it will be tough to make decent facepack now as most clubs official website do not offer such a big player's picture.

Im starting to do a face pack for the lower english leagues, but as the player pictures arent big enough. It will have to be action shots. Which I think looks decent, once I have magic wanded it out.
