Use the pen tool. Make a path around the player (zoom in and click just inside the edge of the player) then when you have finished right click and click 'make a selection'. Then use a feather of around 0.5 - 1. Then select the lasso tool, right click on the picture and click 'select inverse' then press delete and that will delete the background for you and will be most accurate.
Then when you finished the path with the pen tool, right click and make a selection and then just select inverse and delete background.
Obviously i guess you could just make facepacks with the background, i guess they'll still work in the game as it will take alot more time to cut every image.
You don't have to copy the in game style completely, but if you want to just make a new layer with the club logo and make sure the player layer is on top.
A few questions for Ter:
1. What do 95.95 pixel faces look like in the game? Do they look out of proportion or do they still look good?
2. Will the game still not support multiple pictures?

Yes I'm sure, the game can resize your logos for you now
So I can delete all the 70x70 logos I had for FM07 and just keep the 120x120s (which will be re-sized) and the 18x18s?
How much distortion will occur on the images as they are re-sized? I have some 60x60 (I think that was the size) images laying around somewhere from FM05 & FM06, would these look ok?
Can't the facegen ones have a background on them? Would be much better than going backwards and trying to cut out backgrounds like we did in the early days. I'm not opposed to the new size though.
